A TikToker has gone viral after sharing a video from the airport - having realised she turned up for her flight an entire YEAR early, and is now 'stuck' in Croatia.

TikTok user Lex (@simp4beanz) posted the video yesterday, saying: "As if I've just got to the airport at 6am and my flight turns out to be booked for next year.

"Good f***ing night."

In the caption, she added: "EasyJet acc been doing me dirty man wtf."

Her video has racked up 1.1 million views and 245,000 likes, along with thousands of comments from people who have found her situation nothing short of hilarious.

One person quipped: "I understand you need to be at the airport two hours early but a year seems a bit too early."

When someone asked how she was doing, Lex responded: "If it weren't for the mosquito that keeps trying to attack me I'd maybe process it all but all I can do rn is laugh."

And it gets worse, as it turns out Lex wasn't just suffering from a wasted journey to the airport in the UK, but that she was actually trying to come home.

Sharing their realisation, someone wrote: "Girl I thought u meant u was in England at the airport and just got the dates wrong I didn't realise u was STUCK IN CROATIA.

Replying to the comment, Lex said: "Oh yeah no I'm stuck stuck. Spent the last of my money on the taxi to the airport as well."

Some people questioned if she'd made the whole debacle up, saying they didn't think people could book flights that far ahead.

However, the EasyJet website appears to allow some British travellers to book flights home from Croatia up until at least September 2022.

After that point, the site says EasyJet reaches the end of its 'published schedule'.

Explaining more to someone else in her comments, Lex added: "They cancelled twice and let me change to day before/after and all of a sudden they're now next year ffs."

There's been no word yet of whether or not she has now made it home, but fingers crossed she's either almost there or enjoying another day or two in Croatia.

A spokesperson for EasyJet said: "Our team are reaching out to Ms Portman Andrews to offer assistance with transferring their flight to an earlier date.

"We're currently offering all customers the flexibility to transfer to another flight with no change fee up to two hours before departure. Changes can be made quickly and easily via easyJet.com or the mobile app."
