A woman who lost her job due to the coronavirus pandemic started an OnlyFans account out of 'desperation', only to find she's making even more money by earning up to $6,000 (£4,762) a month.

Lucy Lyrica took to Reddit last night for an Ask Me Anything session, writing to fans: "I lost my job due to Covid-19 and I started an OnlyFans in desperation, I now make more than what I made from my career. AMA."

She continued: "At the end of January I lost my job because of Covid-19, they laid everyone off, or 'furloughed' as they called it, but they never re-opened. I now make a full time income and work from home!"

Lucy told one fan that her job before switching to OnlyFans was 'in the medical marijuana field', telling another that the amount she's making now is 'between $3,000 to $6,000 per month depending on the month, on average, some months less, some months more'.

To put that into context, if Lucy managed to make $6,000 a month for a year, that would give her a not-too-shabby salary of up to $72,000 (£57,000).

She added: "I will definitely continue doing this indefinitely."

When asked more about the 'cash flow' and where the majority of the money comes from, Lucy replied: "It depends... from what I've experienced so far the bulk is tips/subs. It really does depend on the week though it pivots back and forth depending on a few differing factors such as advertising and how much I've actually posted for the week."

When asked if she would plan to continue doing OnlyFans if she found herself in a relationship, Lucy revealed she's actually already married, and that her husband has been helping her with her new venture.

She wrote: "I'm actually already married to my high school sweet heart! We're very happy together and he's supportive in anything I want to do with my life."

She continued: "He helps sometimes (usually I have a camera stand) although he drives me nuts with the Austin Powers photographer routine. We haven't really made any boundaries so far... maybe we will in the future, and that's just fine, but we're pretty open and relaxed with each other."
