Woman's DIY Haircut For Husband Goes Incredibly Wrong

“HONEY, THAT’S TOO MUCH!”

A couple in Ohio filmed their DIY hairdressing exploits while self-isolating, and let's just say it didn't go particularly well.

Like many people right now, Emily and Cory Pendergastare currently self-isolating to help stop the spread of coronavirus.

And, also like many people right now, they're not able to nip out to the barbers or hairdressers to get their barnets some attention - meaning they decided to go for the homestyle approach.

Emily grabbed some scissors and bravely took on the task of chopping Cory's hair, despite having never done it before.

A friend suggested she filmed the experience, knowing that it could be amusing given her inexperience... And it didn't disappoint.

The haircut begins fairly calmly, with Cory guiding Emily through what he wants, telling her of the length: "Yeah, no more than this."

But it doesn't take long before Emily gets a little scissor-happy, and ends up lopping a huge chunk of hair from the top of his head.

"Honey that's too much!" Cory yells, telling her to be more careful with his 'bangs'.

"Just don't do that down here," he says, pointing to his fringe.

But Emily did do that down there, and ended up removing a fairly large portion of hair from the front.

Cory exclaims again: "HONEY, THAT'S TOO MUCH!"

This time, he looks a lot more panicked - but thankfully he's also able to laugh through the pain as Emily giggles guiltily in the background.

The video has now gone viral across Emily's various social media platforms, having racked up 2.7 million views on Facebook and 65,000 shares.

Speaking to Buzzfeed, Emily said: "It has been nice hearing that the video has been a fun distraction for those who need a good laugh during a time like this."

Explaining why she decided to film it in the first place, she continued: "Knowing my lack of talent, my friend, Allison, suggested I film it. We love to send fun videos to our family to keep them entertained."

She added: "Cory, as you can tell, is incredibly positive and lighthearted. When he saw his 'bangs' in my hands, I think he was fully dumbfounded."

And if you're wondering what Cory's done with his hair now - well, he's gone for a buzzcut because... There was no coming back from that really, was there?
