The 'world's largest' slip 'n' slide festival has opened for thrill-seeking adrenaline junkies, who can whizz their way down a mountain along a 1.5-mile course.
Slide the Slopes takes place this summer in Pennsylvania, where one of the largest peaks in the Lehigh Valley at Bear Creek Mountain Resort has been transformed into the ultimate playground.

The festival, which kicked off last Friday (16 July), bills itself as the world's 'longest and biggest inflatable slip n' slide festival'.
While the resort plays host to skiiers in the winter months, as temperatures rise and snow melts the site becomes perfect for those hoping to race down the hillside in another way - cooling off from the summer sun as they speed along the watery track.
The 'epic tubing experience' allows people to grab a rubber ring or lilo and launch themselves down the travelling course, which spans 1.5 miles and features more than 20 routes.

Punters are transported up the mountain on ski lifts and stand-on conveyors, meaning you won't have to waste all your energy by trudging up the hill.

The event runs all summer until 6 September, with tickets costing $34.99 (£25) for a two-hour window, with prices including transport up the mountain.
The festival also offers family four-pack passes, along with discounted group packages.
