Ozzy Osbourne has stated he is moving back to the UK because he does not want to die in the US.

The 73-year-old has lived in Beverley Hills with his wife Sharon and their three children for more than 25 years.

However, the rock legend says he will move back to the UK because he is 'fed up' with the number of mass shootings in the US.

Speaking to The Observer, he said: "Everything's f****** ridiculous there. I'm fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert… It's f****** crazy."

He then went to explain that he does not want to die in the US and be buried in Forest Lawn.

The Californian cemetery is the final resting place of many film stars including Clark Gable, Elizabeth Taylor and Humphrey Bogart.

"And I don't want to die in America. I don't want to be buried in f*****g Forest Lawn. I'm English. I want to be back," he added.

However, it seems wife Sharon has the finally say on where the couple live.

"If my wife said we've got to go and live in Timbuktu, I'll go," Ozzy said.

In 2020, Ozzy revealed he suffers with Parkinson's disease and was diagnosed with the condition in 2003.

Many people have speculated that the decision to move back to the UK is due to the rock star's condition.

However, Sharon has clarified that this is not the case.

She said: "I knew people would think that. It's not. It's just time. America has changed so drastically.

"It isn't the United States of America at all. Nothing's united about it. It's a very weird place to live right now."

The couple previously stated that rising taxes in the US could force them to return back to the UK.

They have now stated they will be moving back to the UK in February next year.

Ahead of their big move, the couple are currently having work completed at their Buckinghamshire mansion.

They are said to have dug up space for a swimming pool, installed air-conditioning and built a music studio for Ozzy.

Last month, Ozzy returned to the UK to make a surprise appearance at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games.

The rockstar appeared with his Black Sabbath bandmates for the surprise performance in his home-city of Birmingham.

The band performed their hit songs Paranoid during a firework-fuelled performance and later performed the famous Iron Man.

Before exiting the stage, Ozzy told the crowd: "Thank you, good night, you are the best, God bless you all - Birmingham forever."

The heavy metal band formed in 1969 and consists of guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward.

Ozzy has since worked on solo music and will release his 13th solo album Patient Number 9 on 9 September. The album will feature the Tony Iommi, Jeff Beck, late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins and Eric Clapton.
