French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, are planning to present 'evidence' to a US court to prove that she is not a man.
It’s been a helluva year for the couple, who have only just got over the whole 'pushing' scandal that rocked the headlines in May.
Footage of the president of France, 47, went viral as he was seen apparently being 'shoved in the face' by Brigitte, 72, as they were leaving a plane in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The clip quickly spread across social media, and while the Élysée initially tried to dismiss it, Macron left the subject to focus on running his country.

Now, they’re embroiled in quite an odd controversy which may see them take it up with a court.
The pair launched a defamation suit against US Republican influencer Candace Owens after she told her followers she believes that Brigitte was 'born a man'.
As a result, the couple are prepared to hand in documentation to prove those claims false.
In response, Owens' lawyers have responded with a motion to dismiss the claim.

The Macrons' lawyer, Tom Clare, told the BBC's Fame Under Fire podcast, that the insinuation has been 'incredibly upsetting'.
"I don't want to suggest that it somehow has thrown him off his game. But just like anybody who is juggling a career and a family life as well, when your family is under attack, it wears on you. And he's not immune from that because he's the president of a country," he said, mentioning that it was a 'distraction' to the president.
As for what they will use to dismiss the claims, Clare said there would be 'expert testimony that will come out that will be scientific in nature', though he did not reveal what.
But all in all, the couple will provide something that 'both generically and specifically' proves that Brigitte was born female.
"It is incredibly upsetting to think that you have to go and subject yourself, to put this type of proof forward," he added. "It is a process that she will have to subject herself to in a very public way. But she's willing to do it. She is firmly resolved to do what it takes to set the record straight."

Clare said they would also be able to provide images of Brigitte pregnant with her children as evidence if needed.
He continued: "If that unpleasantness and that discomfort that she has of opening herself up in that way is what it takes to set a record straight and stop this, she's 100 percent ready to meet that burden."
However, when making the allegations, Owens said in March 2024 that she would bet her 'entire professional reputation' that the president’s wife was 'assigned male' at birth.
Previously, a 2021 YouTube video by French bloggers Amandine Roy and Natacha Rey claimed Brigitte was a man, and the couple won their defamation case against them just last year.

But the decision was overturned on appeal in 2025 based on freedom of expression, regardless of if it is an untrue claim.
As for how the president feels about the allegations, he told French magazine Paris Match: "This is about defending my honour! Because this is nonsense. This is someone who knew full well that she had false information and did so with the aim of causing harm, in the service of an ideology and with established connections to far-right leaders."
