Charlie Kirk's wife makes defiant statement saying her ‘cries will echo around the world like a battle cry’

His widow Erika vowed to 'never surrender' while paying tribute to her late husband

The widow of Charlie Kirk shared a defiant message vowing to continue her late husband's mission two days after his death.

Erika Kirk, 36, shared an emotional statement paying tribute to the right-wing political activist who was shot dead on Wednesday (10 September).

Kirk, 31, was speaking at an event at Utah Valley University when a single bullet struck him in the neck, inflicting unsurvivable injuries.

US officials announced on Friday (12 September) that 22-year-old Tyler Robinson had been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting that has sent shockwaves around the world.

Erika addressed the person responsible for her husband's death in a defiant video message shared late yesterday, describing them as 'evildoers'.

Promising to uphold Kirk's legacy, she said: "They killed Charlie because he preached a message of patriotism, faith and of God's merciful love.

"You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife. The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry.

"They should all know this: If you thought that my husband's mission was powerful before you have no idea, you have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country and this world, you have no idea."

She also referenced one of Kirk's mottos, 'never surrender', and pledged to continue the campus tour on which he was killed.

"He never gave up," Erika, who married Kirk in 2021, continued. "One of his mottos was never surrender. So I want to tell that we will never surrender. The campus tour will continue.

"There will be even more tours in the years ahead to come. In a world filled with chaos, doubt and uncertainty, my husband’s voice will remain and it will ring out louder and more clearly than ever and his wisdom will endure."

Speaking from her husband’s Turning Point USA office, Erika shared praise for law enforcement, first responders and politicians who have been involved, including President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

"Mr President, my husband loved you and he knew that you loved him, too," the mother-of-two said of Trump. "Your friendship was amazing. You supported him so well, as did he for you."

The Midweek Rise Up podcast host also spoke at length about Kirk's devotion to his faith and politics, while urging people to champion his beliefs.

She said his priority would have been to 'revive the American family' if he ever ran for office, but added that his movement was 'above all spiritual' rather than political.

"He wants you to make a difference and you can," Kirk's widow said. "The movement is not going anywhere and it will only go stronger when you join it."

Erika then revealed she has been unable to sleep since her spouse's death and said that her daughter, whom she referred to as GG, had asked her where her father was on Thursday evening.

The mum said: "What do you tell a three-year-old? 'Baby, daddy loves you so much. Don't you worry. He's on a work trip with Jesus [so] he can afford your blueberry budget'."

Erika also shared an Instagram post paying homage to Kirk, which had a similar sentiment to her speech.

The caption read: "The world is evil. But our Savior. Our Lord. Our God. Не...Не is so good. I will never have the words. Ever.

"The sound of this widow weeping echos throughout this world like a battle cry. I have no idea what any of this means. But baby, I know you do, and so does our Lord.

"They have no idea what they just ignited within this wife. If they thought my husband’s mission was big now..you have no idea.

"You. All of you. Will never. Ever. Forget my husband @charliekirk1776, I’ll make sure of it.

"Rest in the arms of our Lord baby as he blankets you with the words I know your heart always strived to hear, 'well done My good and faithful servant'."
