PornHub shares popular searches in every New Zealand region

There are the usual search terms and then some others that are fairly eyebrow-raising.

PornHub has shared the most popular searches in every New Zealand region and the results have left us with some thoughts.

The data is formed from relative searches that are based on over 100 genres all PornHub videos.

“The most popular search among Kiwis is ‘lesbian’, followed by ‘MILF’ and ‘asian’,” The PornHub insights team explains. “Searches for ‘Maori’, the indigenous people of New Zealand, are greater than those containing ‘New Zealand’.”

Overall the research has found that Kiwis are 797 per cent more likely to search for 'swimsuit' and 523 per cent more into 'yoga pants' and 'wake up morning sex' compared to the rest of the world.

But it’s the region’s most popular searches that catch our attention.

Check out the stats below:

Starting at Northland, their most searched term is 'Naked Girls', which begs the question if they truly know how porn works?

Moving to the Bay of Plenty, the top most relative search term for that region is 'pillow humping'.

Now we don’t know if that means sex on a pillow, sex with a pillow or something completely different. The people of Bay of Plenty know and we’d love to hear their secrets.

There are some popular terms that aren’t so surprising, including 'Tongan' for the Auckland region, as 75.5 per cent of Tongan New Zealanders live in that region and 'foursome' in Wellington, as Kiwis are aware Wellington is progressively ahead of the times compared to the rest of the country.

Gisborne and Tasman may share a common interest. Likewise for Marlborough and Manawatu/Wanganui. Taranaki is defiantly living up to their hardcore reputation.

Going down South, it can get cold in Otago, which could explain why 'bikini' is their most popular search term.

Maybe they aren’t seeing them very often.

Southland is famous for their bakeries and it shows through their most popular search being 'creampie', while the West Coast is giving new meaning to the term 'dinner for two’.

At least we know what everyone is going to be searching once No Nut November is over.
