Grumpy reporter makes his feelings clear as he’s forced to present in a blizzard

The reporter stuck in the freezing cold wasn't shy about venting his frustrations

A news reporter stuck out in the Iowa snow didn't hold back in making it clear exactly how miserable he was to be standing out in the freezing cold.

Normally a sports reporter, KWWL broadcaster Mark Woodley was sent out into the frosty air as part of their 'tracking the blizzard' coverage - and it was obvious from the start that he was straight up not having a good time.

It was pretty clear from the get-go that he wasn't having fun when he was asked how he was feeling and responded "the same way I felt about eight minutes ago when you asked me that same question."

He said: "I normally do sports, everything is cancelled here for the next couple of days so what better time to ask the sports guy to come in about five hours earlier than he would normally wake up, go stand out in the wind and the snow and the cold and tell other people not to do the same."

That really set the tone for the rest of his reporting on the blizzard, and he raises a pretty good point about why he has to stand out in the snow when everyone should be staying indoors.

The sports reporter quipped that it felt 'absolutely fantastic' to be stuck outside in a blizzard.

From that point on the channel's 'tracking the blizzard' coverage was premium entertainment with guy-who-absolutely-does-not-want-to-be-standing-in-blizzard as the main star.

Whenever they cut back to poor Mark he was finding new ways to make it clear he would rather be anywhere else.

He sarcastically described himself as feeling 'absolutely fantastic' when his colleagues checked in with him again and pointed out he was more used to working on shows that were 'only 30 minutes long' where he got to work indoors.

Promising viewers that they could watch him 'progressively get crankier and crankier' if they stayed tuned into the blizzard coverage, Mark duly delivered on his promise.

He said: "I've got good news and bad news, the good news is I can still feel my face right now, the bad news is I wish I couldn't.

"Can I go back to my regular job? I'm pretty sure you guys added an extra hour to this show just because somebody likes torturing me."

"Compared to two-and-a-half hours ago it is just getting colder and colder."

Mark wondered why he had to be out in the cold just to tell other people not to be out in the cold.

People absolutely loved the reporter's 'amazing' coverage with some calling it 'the funniest thing I've seen all year'.

However, a few of his fellow reporters pointed out that by doing such a good job more studios would probably pull a similar trick 'in hopes of going viral'.

Thankfully Mark's freezing ordeal did finally come to and end and he 'thankfully' brought an end to his torturous time covering the blizzard.

Unfortunately for him, he was so entertaining that next time there's a blizzard they'll probably send him back out into the snow!
