Mother issues plea after giving birth in 'one in fifteen million' pregnancy
An Australian woman has defied the odds after a miracle pregnancy which has been described as a one in a 15 million chance.
There are always risks involved when it comes to pregnancy but the miracle of childbirth can also have a profound impact on the mothers once they've given birth, if a photographer who took before and after photos is to be believed.
While pregnancies usually occur in the old fashioned way which we're probably all familiar with, there have of course been scientific and technological advances which mean that babies can appear in very different ways, as one 'virgin mum' found out when she got pregnant at 17.
Although Jenitar Na'amoana went down the old-fashioned route with her husband, it turned out that she was pregnant with not one but four babies, who later turned out to be identical girls.

After she was admitted to the hospital, maternal fetal medicine specialist and obstetrician Dr Alexa Bendall commented that it was 'unheard of' and that they don't believe it's ever happened before in Australia, with likely less than a handful of cases in human history.
To naturally conceive four identical twins is already remarkable enough but Jenitar also managed to deliver the babies without any real complications, although she did have to have a caesarean section at just 28 weeks and the babies are now receiving specialist care in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital neonatal intensive care unit.
Dr Bendall added: "They are very special. We are very excited to be able to care for this amazing little family, well big family now.
"One is named after me which is such a beautiful tribute.
"We have never seen a spontaneously conceived pregnancy of this type with quads, and she has somehow dodged every complication and risk for both herself and her babies to be here today, with four gorgeous newborn girls."
Although it is a blessing that all four babies arrived safely, Jenitar now has to deal with the financial consequences of the four unexpected babies, and has issued a plea for help online after her story went viral.
On GoFundMe, she wrote: "Our four precious miracles have arrived safely, and while our hearts are overflowing with gratitude, the reality of caring for four newborns at once has brought challenges we never could have imagined. "We urgently need a larger van with at least 10 or 12 seats, essential baby equipment, and help with ongoing medical, travel, and everyday living expenses.
"If you’re able to support our family, no gift is too small—every donation will make a real difference. If you can’t donate, we would be so grateful for your prayers and for sharing our story with your family, friends, church, workplace, and community."
The support of the community has fortunately been incredible, as she's already managed to raise over 40,000 Australian dollars.
Both Jenitar and her husband will be delighted that she was even able to survive the 'miracle' pregnancy which may well have been more of a curse than a blessing, given the significant risks involved with delivering quadruplets.
Dr Bendall added: “It is a very, very high-risk pregnancy.
“There is a high risk of mortality and morbidity for these babies, and for mum.
“Jenitar already had four babies at home, including one that she was breastfeeding at the time.,” Bendall said.
“When they went along and they found out that they had four babies instead of one, they were quite shocked.
“We always said that if we could get her to 28 weeks, we would be doing well. The fact that we’ve got four beautiful, healthy babies born at 28 weeks and four days is incredible.”
