Sharon Osbourne Says Prince Harry Must Regret Actions After Royal Jubilee

Sharon Osbourne has suggested that Prince Harry must be feeling 'regret' over stepping down from the Royal Family after taking part in this weekend's Platinum Jubilee.

With Meghan Markle by his side, Prince Harry flew home from California to attend the four-day celebrations, marking the Queen's 70th year on the throne.

Watch here:

The couple were spotted attending the Service of Thanksgiving in St Paul's Cathedral, London, on Saturday (4 June), being met by a mix of cheers and boos from the crowd that gathered outside.

It had been the couple's first major public appearance in the UK since they first announced their plans to step down as senior Royals back in 2020.

Inside the cathedral, Harry and Meghan were seated away from more senior members of the family like Kate and William, and Charles and Camilla.

Commenting on the couple's return, Sharon Osbourne told Piers Morgan on Fox News "The Royal Family has always been like a Shakespearean play for me.

"I have to tell you when I saw them going in earlier on, I felt sorry for them. And the way that they were parted from the family."

Asked why people should feel sorry for Meghan and Harry, Sharon clarified: "I do feel sorry for him because I think that there must be a huge part of him that regrets.

"I mean, can you imagine how he felt yesterday with the whole family in that procession and he would have normally been there on one of those horses with his uniform and everything."

Sharon also commented on Prince Harry and Meghan's exclusion from the Buckingham Palace balcony on Thursday (2 June), where the Royals gathered to watch the Jubilee flypast.

Sympathising with the Sussexes, Sharon suggested that Harry might have seen the gathering and thought: "My children are not going to grow up with their cousins.

"It's got to have an effect on you when they don't have any cousins, aunts, uncles."

Meghan and Harry officially stepped down as senior members of the Royal Family in 2020, announcing they planned to become financially independent, and split their time between the UK and North America.

Last year, the couple spoke to Oprah Winfrey in a bombshell TV interview, claiming that they struggled to get help from 'The Firm' when it came to mental health struggles, and refuting false stories in the press.

Since the split, Prince Harry has made brief visits back to the UK for the funeral of Prince Philip, and for the unveiling of a statue of Princess Diana.

In April of this year, the couple made their first joint visit to the UK since stepping back, during a brief stopover on the way to the Invictus Games in the Netherlands.
