Floyd Mayweather Refuses Picture With Fan Because They Had Painted Nails
| Last updated
Floyd Mayweather has been filmed refusing to take a picture with a young fan because he had painted nails at the time. You can see the footage below.
For whatever reason, it turned out that 'Money' Mayweather doesn't like having his picture taken with people - well, men at least - who have painted nails.
As the kid approached him, Mayweather could be heard to say: "You got painted nails, I don't take pictures with guys with no painted nails."
Then, his bodyguard - as if he needs bodyguards, given his boxing record - asked the fan to back it up and get away from him.
The fan could be heard to say: "Floyd doesn't want to take a picture with me because my nails are painted. Bruh, really?!"
So it would seem, anyway.
After the game, TMZ - who broke the news online - said that they'd heard that Floyd had absolutely no problems whatsoever taking pictures with all of the other assembled fans, and that it was just the one with nail polish on that he didn't fancy engaging with.
It's hard to see why, and we'll likely never get a good answer, but you can make your own assessments, most likely.
Of course, wearing nail polish is mostly just because people think it looks cool, and there's no real reason to take anything from it.
In fact, loads of stars wear nail polish, and people like Post Malone, Harry Styles, Brad Pitt, and Machine Gun Kelly have all been seen with decorated digits in recent memory.
Obviously, none of them will be getting their pictures taken with Floyd Mayweather, though.
During his professional career, Mayweather fought 50 times, winning each and every one of them.
The man who has been described as 'The Best Ever' - usually by himself - most recently fought - properly, at least - against Conor McGregor, beating the UFC double champion by knockout after 10 rounds.
Still, even though it wasn't his most taxing fight, it was definitely up there with his most lucrative.
Mayweather reportedly made about $300 million (£217m) from that fight, and he's been voted the richest person in sport on a number of occasions.
Still, maybe if one of his opponents over the years had turned up with painted nails, maybe the history of boxing could have been a lot different.
