Maybe some of us doubted we’d even get this far, but England has made it to the World Cup semi-finals.
And that means Harry Kane will be facing Lionel Messi at kick-off as we play Argentina in their away colours at the Atlanta Stadium tomorrow night (15 July).
But while it feels like the whole country is behind the Three Lions, there’s one English WAG who has declared she will be supporting our opponents in the crucial match.
Kelci-Rose Bowers has made the ‘controversial’ decision to back Argentina as her boyfriend plays for the team.

The 22-year-old met Tottenham Hotspur defender Marcos Senesi while they were each playing for the men’s and women’s team at Bournemouth (where she has just left following the end of the season). Having supported Argentina in their World Cup games so far, Bowers earlier took to TikTok to defend her stance for the semi-final.

The defender says ‘every single person’ has been asking her: “England or Argentina?” And she admits it’s become a bit of a ‘crazy situation’ as she ‘didn’t think that this was going to happen’.
“It's kind of crazy that England are playing Argentina in the semi-final, that's not happened forever,” Bowers says in the video.
“This situation is very unique for me, of course, being English. England making it to the semi-final is crazy accomplishment and I'm super proud of my country.”
However, the footballer says that in any relationship ‘whatever your partner does, you’re going to support them’ and that it’s been ‘amazing’ to be able to go to the World Cup.
“Supporting Argentina, embracing the culture in Argentina and posting on my social media wearing the Argentina shirt is something that I've been doing. And I don't really feel like there's anything wrong with that,” she continues.
But she knows that there is ‘some controversy’ around what she will do now that England are facing the team.

“And look, I'm going to go to the game. I'm going to enjoy the game. I'm going to respect both teams. I'm going to be cheering on for my partner. And I'm going to be... wishing England the best game and I'm just there to enjoy it guys,” Bowers continues.
She also explains that although she plays football and loves football, she doesn’t ‘actually watch football’.
So, Bowers says: “It's a bit of a different situation. It's a weird one guys.
“It's a weird one and I totally get why everyone's saying ‘What you gonna do now?’
“But look, like I said I have the best intentions for both teams and whatever the outcome is we’ll just see.”
Senesi earned a late-call up for the World Cup’s final squad, having had an impressive season at Bournemouth. He came in as a replacement for the injured Leonardo Balerdi. His move to Spurs was announced back in June, as he joined the club on a free on 1 July, following the expiration of his contract with the Cherries.
Bowers has been in the stands supporting Argentina throughout the tournament, sharing posts of her experience on social media.
