Everyone is thinking the same thing after seeing Cristiano Ronaldo sat next to Anthony Joshua at Fury vs Usyk

The footballing legend will be pleased with the seating arrangement tonight

The football legend will be pleased with the seating arrangements for the Fury vs Usyk fight tonight.

Cristiano Ronaldo is at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia tonight for the 'Ring of Fire' boxing event, which is headlined by the bout between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, to determine the world's first undisputed heavyweight champion in 25 years.

As usual, the Real Madrid and Manchester United legend is in the VIP area, surrounded by locals, organisers and other fellow celebrities.

The Al-Nassr striker went viral in December last year after he was sat next to MMA legend-turned actor Conor McGregor for the Joshua vs Wilder fight, who was talking the Portuguese star's ear off - and he was not amused.

McGregor was thought to have enjoyed the bar a bit too much before the event, and Ronaldo, known for steering clear of alcohol, looked like the designated driver listening to the overly-drunk friend on a night out.

But this time around, the 39-year-old can count his lucky stars, having been seated next to British boxing star Anthony Joshua.

Already, the stars could be seen having lowkey, friendly discussions without causing too much commotion or looking too out of place in an Arab country.

People were quick to share their thought on the situation on social media, already seeing the funny side of it.

One posted: "The sheer relief of not being seated next to Conor McGregor/sipping Forged Irish Stout"

Another said: "Cristiano probably prefers sitting next to Anthony Joshua compared to Conor McGregor," with two laughing emojis.

A third put: "Say Ronaldo is delighted he’s not sitting beside mcgregor tonight."

Joshua recently knocked out Francis Ngannou in the second round during a bout that also took place in Riyadh in March, and is the heavy favourite to face Fury if he emerges victorious against his Ukrainian counterpart tonight.

Despite Fury being uncharacteristically humble at the press conference on Thursday, the Mancunian came out all guns blazing during the weigh-in on Friday night.

He told the press: "Fireworks tomorrow night. I'm gonna knock this little fu**er spark out!

"I'm coming for his heart, that's what I'm coming for, f**k his belts, he's getting it tomorrow, spark out. F**k his team too, f**k the lot of them, they can all get it if they want."

Tyson Fury's fighting record

One the biggest names in heavyweight boxing, The Gypsy King has a well-deserved reputation as one of the best in the division. Fury is undefeated in 35 career fights with the only mar on his otherwise immaculate fighting record being a draw with Deontay Wilder, where he got up from two knock-downs and even knocked Wilder down three times.
