Fans have hailed Harry Kane’s ‘hilarious’ post-match interview as ‘the best ever’ as the striker appeared to struggle with losing his voice after celebrating this morning's win.
England beat Mexico 3-2 on their home turf at the Estadio Azteca, handing the home team their first defeat at the venue in 13 years.
The game was delayed by an hour, with kick-off shifting from 1am BST to 2am BST, but it was absolutely worth the wait.
The nail-biting match had fans on the edge of their seats, with Jude Bellingham scoring in the 36th minute and then again two minutes later, putting England ahead 2-0.

However, Julian Quinones attempted to pull Mexico back with a penalty just minutes later.
The drama ramped up further when Jarell Quansah was sent off, but even being down to ten men didn’t stop the impressive performance from the Three Lions with Kane scoring a penalty in the 60th minute.

Mexico put on the pressure after Raul Jimenez scored a 69th minute penalty, but it wasn’t enough, and the game ended with a 3-2 win for England, seeing them going through to the quarter-finals. They will face Norway on 11 July.
In the wake of the win, the BBC attempted to grab Kane for an interview, but it seemed as though he’d celebrated a little too hard and had lost his voice after ‘singing’ on the pitch.
'Football’s Coming Home' and 'Wonderwall' rang out across the famous stadium at the end of the match and it seemed that Kane couldn’t resist joining in.
A clearly delighted Kane pushed on despite his struggle to be heard, telling the BBC: “It was a crazy game.
“We had to fight and we had to find something. I've just been singing, I can't really talk. The occasion, the team, everything against us, we found a way.”
Praising the fans, he said: “Incredible, unbelievable support. [I'm] speechless."
Speechless and voiceless, by the sounds of it, mate.
Kane also gave an update on his teammate Jordan Henderson, who was stretchered off after injuring his wrist leaping over a billboard during post-match celebrations.

He said: “Jordan Hendo injured his wrist, it just doesn’t fit to the evening that Jordan is not with us. I don’t know the procedure, the doctor told me he is in the hospital.”
More serious news aside, the funny post-match interview didn’t go unnoticed by fans took to X to comment on his ‘Kermit the Frog’ voice.
“That Harry Kane post match was hilarious,” one wrote.
Another commented: “Best Harry Kane interview ever.”
Someone else said: “Harry ‘Kermit the Frog’ Kane - hilarious.”
A fourth football fan said: “Poor guy’s completely lost his voice and the interviewer is relentless lol. Stop asking him questions.”
While a fifth fan joked that Kane ‘gave everything - mind, soul, vocal cords’.

England head coach Thomas Tuchel gave a much clearer post-match interview and was quick to praise his side.
He said: “Very proud. We needed everything. It was super difficult. In the moments we thought we catch the momentum, we had setbacks. That is proper mentality."
Commenting on the side’s setbacks during the game, he added: "This team really mean it. When the going gets tough, they never give up, they never lose belief. It was one step more.
"We need to take this in. This is Azteca, it's Mexico, a crazy game. We left everything out there, every single one of us. We need to take this in, now it's full steam ahead."
