He may be known for his hits, but he is also a huge sports betting man.

Drake is in the headlines again following tonight's (8 March) boxing match result between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia.

Drake has previously bet $850,000 (£660,000) on Logan Paul to win by knockout in his bout against Dillon Danis, and despite the influencer emerging victorious, he lost the bet as Danis was disqualified.

The Canadian artist also bet $400,000 (£311,000) on his brother Jake Paul to win by knockout against British boxer Tommy Fury, but Fury emerged victorious.

To top it all off, he last placed a bet of $700,000 (£661,000) on Sean Strickland winning his match against Dricus du Plessis, but he lost yet again.

Not a great record so far.

And it looks like the 'One Dance' star's bad luck may just be continuing after tonight's result.

The rapper put his neck on the line for an Ngannou victory.

The rapper's bet of $600,000 (£500,000) on Francis Ngannou to beat Anthony Joshua was ultimately in vain as the Brit won by KO in the second round.

The fight came following Joshua's back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk in 2021 and 2022, where the boxer lost his WBO, IBF, IBO and WBA titles.

The 34-year-old did then follow this up with three wins on the bounce against Jermaine Franklin, Robert Helenius and Otto Wallin.

Following these victories, MMA fighter-turned-boxer Francis Ngannou stood up against him in the ring after his controversial split decision loss to Tyson Fury last December, in his first ever pro boxing match.

Drake is known for his lavish bets on sporting events.

In the build-up to the fight, there was a war of words between Joshua and Ngannou at the final press-conference.

Joshua branded himself as 'the postman' as he stated 'I deliver' when asked if he would win the fight.

Ngannou on the other hand, said he would be fighting against the odds: “I am the underdog, I am going out there to prove that you can be an underdog and stand your ground.”

He did also state that if Joshua crossed over to MMA, that he would 'smoke him', also adding about other boxers: "I am the only one to go in their backyard, none of them can come in my backyard. I would take two of them at once."

Joshua vs Ngannou Knockout Chaos results:

Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - Winner: Joshua

Zhilei Zhang vs. Joseph Parker - Winner: Parker

Rey Vargas vs. Nick Ball - Winner: Split Draw

Israil Madrimov vs. Magomed Kurbanov - Winner: Madrimov by TKO

Gavin Gwynne vs. Mark Chamberlain - Winner: Chamberlain by TKO

Justis Huni vs. Kevin Lerena - Winner: Huni
