World Cup champion Lamine Yamal holds up sign mocking Argentina player as team parade through Spain
Lamine Yamal made a pointed dig at Leandro Paredes during Spain's trophy parade yesterday.
Paredes became one of the major talking points after Spain's 1-0 win over Argentina in Sunday's World Cup final, with the Boca Juniors midfielder appearing to start a melee on the pitch after the final whistle.
While it's unclear what exactly led to the fight, Paredes was seen shoving Eric Garcia by the throat before grappling with Barcelona's Gavi. Meanwhile, Nahuel Molina was also involved in a scuffle with Spanish captain Rodri, after allegedly striking the Manchester City man in the stomach while La Roja were celebrating.
The chaotic moment sparked widespread condemnation of Paredes, who did not receive a red card for his conduct, with FIFA since confirming that it is launching an investigation into the Argentinian side.

Yamal now appears to have weighed in on the dispute, holding up a sign which mocked the 32-year-old during last night's (20 July) parade.
The sign, which appeared to have been chucked onto the open-top bus, showed Yamal's younger brother Keyne as Jesus on the front, while the message 'Velada del Año: Paredes vs Gavi' was scrawled on the back.
For those not up to date on Spanish entertainment, Velada del Año is a popular celebrity boxing event, which is streamed on Twitch to millions of viewers.
The dig certainly seemed to amuse Yamal and his co-stars, with the 19-year-old seen laughing and pointing to the sign before holding it up himself.
Paredes speaks out after Argentina match
Despite being condemned for his actions, Paredes has since spoken about his pride in representing Argentina on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Paredes shared a carousel of images from his World Cup journey, writing: "THANK YOU ARGENTINA !!! I LOVE YOU TODAY AND ALWAYS.
"Today it's time to write with a lot of pain in the soul for not having been able to give them that joy that our country so deserves, but with the chest full of pride for giving everything we had and leaving our flag again on the highest!
"Thanks to everyone who was part of this selection, to this group of players who gave their lives to represent this shirt as it did until the last second of each game!
"It was an honour to be part of the best Argentinian national team in history!!"
Paredes wasn't the only Argentinian player whose conduct made headlines, as Enzo Fernández was sent off in the 93rd minute after receiving a second yellow card.
He has since addressed his actions on social media, thanking fans for their support in every match. "As time goes by, you realise there is something much bigger than just a result," he wrote.
"For years, this group has represented us in the best possible way.
"It teaches that competing isn't just about winning; it's about giving your all for the jersey and never giving up. It has been a privilege to be part of a group that always stepped up, competed at the highest level, and defended these colours with pride, humility, and commitment.
"I want to thank all the Argentine fans. Thank you for always being there, for supporting us in every match, for the affection, for the unconditional support, and for making us feel at home anywhere in the world.
"Wearing my country's jersey is the greatest honour of my career, and I will continue to give my all every time I get to defend it."
