Luke Littler has reportedly spent the entirety of his £1 million World Championships winnings less than a week after defending his title at Ally Pally.

The 18-year-old sensation looks set to become one of the all-time greats after winning back-to-back titles in the darts, and his bank account certainly isn't complaining about his rise to fame.

Littler has become one of the most recognisable teenagers in the world, although the bars he may or may not have frequented before his 18th quickly learned that he was a lot younger than he looks.

Even away from his sporting success, the youngster's friendship with I'm A Celeb winner Angry Ginge has cemented his status as a fan favourite, particularly among younger darts fans around the world.

It's well reported that the winner of the World Championships takes home an eye-watering cheque for £1 million, although Littler's winnings were actually closer to the £500k mark as he's expected to have to pay '£458,843 in tax' and fork 'over £22,011' in National Insurance, according to OLBG.

And it seems as if he wasn't about to hold on to that extraordinary amount for too long, with a number of sources suggesting that he's already been splashing the cash in the week since his momentous win.

Apart from this FIFA packs and collectible football cards, it seems as if the 18-year-old was keen to repay his parents' support with a late Christmas present, as he's bought them a new luxury home.

According to the Mail, the teenager has spent almost £1m on a five-bedroom house on the outskirts of his hometown of Warrington.

A source close to the dominant darts star said: “Luke's a young man. He's bought this place and is living there with his mum and dad but in time he'll spread his wings and the hope is they will stay there. It's not a bad Christmas present for them but it's only what they deserve having done everything to help him get where he is today.”

The mansion has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and other luxury features such as solar panels (which in Warrington might not get much use), a hot tub (same here), and a spacious open-plan kitchen.

Reports suggest that he hopes it will be a 'forever home' for his mum Lisa and dad Anthony Buckley.

Speaking about his prize winnings recently, Littler said: “I'm the first player to break the £2 million mark. Hopefully, I can try and get up to £3 million.

“Obviously, the money's there. I've said it before in the past, us as a family we've never had this sort of money.”

So, the next time you debate about taking your young kid to the pub, just think about this article and get them practising throwing darts, as you never know how you might benefit from it in the future.
