It's not a bad time to be Luke Littler as fresh off the back of his World Darts Championship win he's scored a £20 million payday.

The 18-year-old darts sensation has seen his career go from strength to strength as he's defended his WDC title having made it to three finals in as many years.

Given how young he is, it looks like Littler could be a dominant force in darts for years to come and given that he's demonstrated such a talent for winning everyone wants to be associated with him.

Having scored a million pound payday from his recent title win it was already going well for Littler, but now the good news for him keeps coming as he's just announced a 10 year contract deal with Target Darts worth a whopping £20 million.

The Press Association reports that once you mix in all the earnings, bonuses and a percentage of sales it's going to be worth £20 million to Littler over a 10 year period.

It's the most lucrative darts partnership the sport has ever seen, and Littler branded darts products have been selling very well, while Target also manages him.

He said: "Target has believed in me from day one and I’m delighted that there are many more years to come.

"From my playing career to my product range, we’ve built everything together and I’m really excited to commit to our partnership long-term and see where we can take this next."

It's a continuing partnership as Littler was already with Target and at Christmas he bought AirPods for all of the company staff members and he seems very happy continuing with them for years to come.

Target chairman Garry Plummer said: “I met Luke at the BDO Youth World Championship Qualifier when he was 12, and that day his dad asked if we would sponsor him.

"We’d never taken on someone so young, but I saw something special in him and saying yes was easy.

“Watching him grow since, as both a player and a person, has been a privilege. His achievements on and off the oche have been remarkable, and this new agreement celebrates everything we’ve built together and the exciting future ahead."

Littler has reportedly recently bought his parents a new house and is targeting winning even more prize money as his meteoric rise in the world of darts continues.

He said: “I'm the first player to break the £2 million mark. Hopefully, I can try and get up to £3 million.

“Obviously, the money's there. I've said it before in the past, us as a family we've never had this sort of money.”
