Thomas Tuchel launched into a furious rant after England's victory over Norway, despite leading his side to the final four of the World Cup.

It was tough and stressful, but England have made it through to the semi-finals of the World Cup for just the third time in 60 years.

Jude Bellingham was the man of the moment again as he pulled the Three Lions out of the mire with two crucial goals, securing the 2-1 win early on in extra time, after Norway took the lead in the first half.

It wasn't a game without controversy as Norway felt Bellingham's first goal should have been disallowed as the ball hit the spider camera suspended over the pitch in the build-up and they saw their own goal chalked off due to a foul from Erling Haaland, while England will feel they should have had a penalty that was overturned by VAR after Djed Spence was felled in the box.

Tuchel was interviewed by ITV's Gabriel Clarke after the match and was clearly not pleased with his side's display.

"I didn't talk about suffering," Tuchel said, challenging Clarke's initial question.

"We made life very, very difficult for ourselves today. The result is fantastic, we're in the last four, it's amazing, but not happy with the performance."

"In every sense. Again, the commitment is there, but we made life very difficult for us. The way we played, how we played.

"Sloppy, a lot of technical mistakes, not fast enough, not competitive enough.

"We were lucky today."

Clarke asked Tuchel if he thought the occasion got to the players or 'if it's a mentality thing' that led to the team's struggles.

The mention of mentality seemed to irk Tuchel, who denied his players had any such issues.

"Mentality?," he asked while pulling a face of disagreement.

"This is pure mentality. How can you ask about mentality now? This is pure mentality.

"It's no mentality problem, this is pure mentality.

"You can bottle it up and sell it.

"It's the quality of our games, That's it. Nothing to do with our mentality."

Clarke then interviewed Bellingham and told him the manager wasn't happy with the team's performance.

"It's a tough shift out there"

"Yeah well whatever," came Bellingham's reply.

"It's difficult out there. It's a tough shift. All the players have put in a tough shift, my thoughts go to the players who've put a great shift in today."

England move onto the semi-final where they will face Argentina or Switzerland on Wednesday, July 15, in Atlanta.
