Stephen Bear handed jail sentence for sharing private sex video online

Stephen Bear handed jail sentence for sharing private sex video online

Stephen was found guilty back in December.

Stephen Bear has officially been sentenced for sharing a private video of him and ex-girlfriend Georgia Harrison having sex online.

The disgraced reality TV star, 33, was found guilty of voyeurism and disclosing private, sexual photographs and films back in December 2022 after sharing the video to his OnlyFans account without Harrison's knowledge or consent.

Judge Christopher Morgan ruled at Chelmsford Crown Court on Friday (3 March) that Bear will serve 21 months in prison.

CCTV cameras in Stephen's home had recorded the former couple having sex in the garden of his Essex home.

Although the sex was consensual, Harrison claimed that she did not know they were being recorded.

Harrison, a reality star who has appeared on shows like Love Island and The Only Way Is Essex, waived her right to anonymity to pursue the case against Bear.

When Bear, who won Celebrity Big Brother back in 2016, showed Harrison the footage, she says she told him 'never to send' it to anyone.

But, not long after, Harrison was made aware of the footage circulating online.

Prosecutors say that Bear then uploaded the footage to OnlyFans and 'profited financially'.

Although Stephen Bear had denied all charges and claimed that he had only shared the footage with Harrison.

Despite that, he was found guilty of voyeurism and two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress by unanimous verdict.

When Bear arrived at court today for sentencing he was seen singing to a reporter when she asked him about the case.

Commenting on the ruling back in December, Georgia had said in a statement: "The last two years have been absolute hell and this verdict will allow me to start to put the pain I have suffered in the past and start embracing the future.

"Bear’s behaviour was completely unacceptable and those who choose to commit such crimes should and will be prosecuted."

She continued: "I hope me taking a stand gives other men and women who have fallen victim to revenge porn the courage to seek justice and most importantly show them that they have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of."

Since his conviction, Bear had been out on bail.

Georgia Harrison first made her allegations against Stephen Bear in December 2020 in a post to Instagram.

Stephen was then arrested at Heathrow Airport in January 2021 and charged in May the same year. He pleaded not guilty at a hearing in Chelmsford Crown Court in July 2021.

Revenge porn was officially made a criminal offence back in 2015, and those responsible can find themselves in jail for up to two years.
