Following news of her death, fans flooded the post with messages of condolence for Gadea's family.

Praising the impact she had on the area, one person said: "God bless you and your family your mum put Benidorm on the map when you said Benidorm every one said sticky Vicky what a beautiful woman a true entertainer RIP."

Another commented: "Sending u all love..... see your mum on my 21st birthday, proper legend in her own lifetime..... May she have the best bed in heaven and rest in eternal peace."

"So sorry for your loss," put a third. "Your beautiful mum was a true legend we feel so privileged to have seen her many times. R I P beautiful lady. Sending love to her family."

While yet another fan added: "I am soo sorry to hear this. Your Mum was a Legend and will never be forgotten. RIP.

"You are surrounded by Friends and Family who will be there for you."

The retired performer was best known for her X-rated performances in the Spanish seaside town, which have been enjoyed by countless British holidaymakers over the years.

She hung up her boots in 2016, aged 72, but her daughter María has followed in her footsteps, performing her own 'sexy magic shows' under the name Sticky Vicky.

Last year, however, Gadea was hospitalised after injuring herself following a fall.

Photos posted online showed staples around her knee, with the lower half of her leg purple all over.

However, she assured her fans that she was totally fine.

Her post read: "Hello everyone!!! First of all, to know that I'm fine, last week I had an accident before I got into the car and I fell to the ground, we spent five days in the hospital, after being discharged and returning home, we are here again today, since it hurts a lot and you have to see if I have an infection.

"I hope not and we can go home today. We will report the evolution. Take care!!!"

Earlier this year, Gadea's daughter revealed that her mum had been diagnosed with dementia.
