Life is full of irritating noises, from babies crying and yappy dogs barking to the screech of a train on its tracks and nails on a blackboard. Arguably none of these, however, are as bad as the one that wakes many of us up in the morning.
Yep, the iPhone alarm is something of a universal nuisance, going off at the crack of dawn (well, 10 minutes before work starts) to yank you from your slumber.
Sometimes you're so desperate to end the onslaught that, rather than hitting 'snooze', you accidentally turn it off altogether, meaning you wake up three hours later feeling even angrier than before.

Many people have taken to Twitter to share their sheer hatred for the noise, soon realising they're not alone.
Some reckon it's so bad, that they've compared it to war:
Others have called it out for its unnecessarily 'loud' or aggressive' nature:
One person said it served as their 'severe dose of daily anxiety', while another said it made them 'want to decompose'.

Clothing brand BooHooMAN even asked people to name something worse than the iPhone alarm, receiving the reply: "The second, third, fourth, fifth iPhone alarm after hitting snooze multiple times."
Whatever you compare yours to, the consensus generally seems to be that it's one of the worst sounds known to mankind:
Of course, you could always change your alarm sound to a noise or music you prefer, but by doing that you run the risk of resenting that, too.

Basically, it's a vicious cycle. A very noisy, heart-stopping vicious cycle.
