We are already on the 17th generation of iPhone - just in case you wanted to feel old.
I still remember when the rich kid at school was showing off his new 'iPhone' in 2007 - back when 'what's your BBM?' was the most asked question on the playground.
Blackberrys, however, became very quickly a thing of the past and iPhones were the new cool.
While iPhone launches are, nowadays, becoming far less exciting, that hasn't stopped Apple from feeling the need to fresh up their line-up on the regular.

The good news is that Apple hasn’t decided that your iPhone 16 Pro a terrible device overnight. In fact, discontinuing the iPhone 16 Pro after only one year is completely normal for Apple.
It’s all part of the company’s carefully planned product cycle.

"Apple only sells one set of Pros at a time, and this means that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max have been removed from the Apple Store," explains Tom's Guide.
"Both those phones do still seem to be available at third party retailers and carriers, including the likes of AT&T, Best Buy and others."
Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will stick around for another year.

"Apple likes keeping the previous generation around for another year and slashes the price by $100 in the process," Tom added.
"This year is no different, and means you can pick up the iPhone 16 for a newly reduced price of $699.
"The caveat is that the iPhone 16 is only available with 128GB of storage. If you want to increase your free space to 256GB, you'll either have to buy an iPhone 17 or the iPhone 16 Plus.
"The larger phone starts at $799 for a 128GB model, with the price increasing to $899 if you pick 256GB."
