An optical illusion has left people seriously confused, as they’ve struggled to work out which way the image is moving.

See for yourself below:

Optical or audio illusions can be so fascinating that they sometimes trigger an entire online debate – as you’ll know if you were on the internet anytime in May 2018, when all we could hear was ‘Yanny’... or ‘Laurel’, depending on your stance.

Then, of course, there’s the great blue/black or white/gold dress debacle of 2015, which left some people questioning their entire existence (It was blue and black, by the way...).

Another bizarre phenomenon was also posted back in 2018 on YouTube, where user greeenpro asked: “Which way is the lady spinning? Left or right? Or both?”

It seems like such a simple question, but the video created a huge stir in the comments.

Is she turning right or left, or both?

Greeenpro added in the video’s description: “This is new and different from the ‘Spinning Dancer’ optical illusion. Is this lady spinning to the left or to the right (clockwise or counterclockwise)? Or both?

“This is blowing my mind. Let me know in the comments what you think. Please dislike or like this video. Thanks for watching!”

The clip showed the dotted outline of a woman’s head and upper torso spinning around.

To some people, it looked like she was spinning clockwise, while others felt she was turning the other way.

Others, meanwhile – myself included – believed it seemed like she started off spinning one way before the illusion kicked in and she appeared to be spinning the other way.

It blew many people's minds.

At the time it was posted, it didn’t take long to completely baffle YouTubers, who found the strange clip ‘wild’.

One person commented: “Somehow I made her head spin one way while her body span another way and I said ‘oh my gosh that is so terrifying!’ That is exactly what I said.”

Someone else said: “HER HEAD IS SPINNING ONE DIRECTION AND HER BODY IS SPINNING THE OTHER DIRECTION HOLY HECK.”

A third wrote: “Had to watch it multiple times to see both. My brain naturally sees her turn clockwise. But after watching it enough, if I change my focus it can change her direction.”

A fourth added: “Man that is wild. I seen her spin in both directions.”

What do you reckon then...left, right, or both?
