People are worried Twitter now looks like an adult film site after its logo was changed to X

People are saying Elon Musk’s new logo for Twitter looks like an adult film website.
Musk confirmed over the weekend that it was time for the social media giant to say goodbye to its iconic blue bird logo and switch to an ‘X’ symbol.
But, it seems that not everyone is happy with the rebrand, as many are pointing out that the new logo looks a little too racy.
Goodbye twitter then I guess.

Is it just me or do the new name & logo "X" look/sound like a gay sex club or porn studio or something? #RIPTwitter pic.twitter.com/mugVlr2xrh
#RIPTwitter

Twitter feels dirty with the new “X” logo. Like a porn site.
You know what else feels dirty?
Republicans creeping into my bedroom trying to take away my reproductive rights.#ProudBlue

I didn't know about your rebrand idea and was looking for Twitter Verified, and scrolled right past your X logo, thinking it was a porn site.
The bird is good, it's loved and recognised worldwide. You just can't buy that level of approbation. pic.twitter.com/cPdih6xcgp
One user took to Twitter and wrote: “Goodbye Twitter then I guess. Is it just me or do the new name & logo ‘X’ look/sound like a gay sex club or porn studio or something? #RIPTwitter.”
Another user posted an ad for contraception along with the message: “#RIPTwitter Twitter feels dirty with the new 'X' logo. Like a porn site. #ProudBlue.”
One even compared it to other porn website symbols, writing: “These are all porn except one. That one's Twitter.”
While another said: “Oh dear. I didn't know about your rebrand idea and was looking for Twitter Verified, and scrolled right past your X logo, thinking it was a porn site. The bird is good, it's loved and recognised worldwide. You just can't buy that level of approbation.”
Musk clearly has an affinity for the letter ‘X’ as he's used it for Tesla X, SpaceX and even named one of his children X Æ A-Xii. That poor teacher during roll call.
“Not sure what subtle clues gave it away, but I like the letter X,” the tech billionaire wrote.
Linda Yaccarino, CEO of the social media app, said the rebranding was an 'exceptionally rare thing' and 'a second chance to make another big impression'.
X is the future state of unlimited interactivity – centered in audio, video, messaging, payments/banking – creating a global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities. Powered by AI, X will connect us all in ways we’re just beginning to imagine.

“X is the future state of unlimited interactivity — centred in audio, video, messaging, payments/banking — creating a global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities. Powered by AI, X will connect us all in ways we’re just beginning to imagine,” she tweeted.
Lots of marketing buzz words in there!
“We’ve already started to see X take shape over the past eight months through our rapid feature launches, but we’re just getting started," she added.
However, merely by changing the logo, it will be hard to undo Twitter’s diminishings in the past year, as its traffic continues to plummet.
Earlier this month, Matthew Prince, CEO of Cloudflare, noted that Twitter traffic ‘was tanking’ while sharing a graph showing volume requests for Twitter falling gradually.
And, just to make matters worse, Musk said the company is far from being cash flow positive and acknowledges a 50 per cent year-over-year drop in ad revenue, according to CBS News.
Major yikes.
