Macaulay Culkin has become a father.
The Home Alone star and partner Brenda Song welcomed their son Dakota into the world on Monday (5 April).
According to reports, he was named after Culkin's sister, who died in 2008.
In a statement to Esquire, the couple said: "We're overjoyed."
The couple met while working on the film Changeland a few years ago, eventually moving in together.
As well as their newborn, they have three cats - Apples, Dude, and Santa - and a fish called Cinnamon.
Speaking to the outlet for a cover story recently, Culkin discussed parenting.
He joked: "We practice a lot."
Adding: "We're figuring it out, making the timing work. Because nothing turns you on more than when your lady comes into the room and says, 'Honey, I'm ovulating'."
To mark his 40th birthday last year, Song shared a heartfelt post to her Instagram account.
She said: "I could sit here and write endlessly about how wonderful, kind, loving, genuine, loyal, honest, brilliant and hilarious you are, and how grateful I am that I get to share and do this life thing with you.
"But firstly, that would take me an eternity and secondly, you won't even see this because you don't ever use instagram. Hahaha. My unicorn that I never thought could exist, I am luckiest person in the world because I am loved by you."
Since news of the birth broke, fans of the actors have taken to social media to congratulate them both.
One user said: "Congrats Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song."
Echoing these sentiments, another chimed in: "I had no clue that Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin were even together, much less expecting a child. Congrats to them!"
"Congratulations to Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song on the birth of their first child, Dakota Song Culkin, who was born on Monday, April 5," wrote a third.
While another shocked fan added: "Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song had a baby??? .......together...??? Congratulations!"
