Over the course of nearly a dozen seasons of MasterChef Australia, we've seen some pretty impressive stuff.

People with way more culinary skills than the average at-home chef pour blood sweat and tears into creating absolute masterpieces in a short space of time. However, at the end of the day, there's only one winner.

Well, the people behind the incredible reality TV cooking show want to give us an even more engaging programme. We're getting an All Stars season.

Channel 10 announced MasterChef Back to Win, which will feature all your favourites from the past 11 seasons.

We'll be getting the likes of Poh Ling Yeow, from season one, Reynold Poernomo, from the series' sixth instalment and season three's Hayden Quinn.

The creme de le creme that we have seen over more than a decade will battle it out to see who is truly the best of the best. It will likely be a very intense affair and fans are already getting ready for some engaging television.

One person on Twitter wrote: "I am so excited for this, cannot wait."

Another added: "YESS!! can't wait to see so many of my favourites back in the MasterChef kitchen!!"

A third said: "So amazing! So Many people I adore and admire! Its gonna be epic! Cant Wait!"

The show was thrown into disarray last year when judges Matt Preston, Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris ceremoniously quit.

Just before Masterchef Australia was supposed to crown its 2019 winner, Channel 10 released a statement that was a bigger shock than the final outcome.

The network said: "Network 10 today announced that Matt Preston, Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris will not return as judges in the next season of MasterChef Australia.

"Despite months of negotiation, 10 has not been able to reach a commercial agreement that was satisfactory to Matt, Gary and George. Australia is full of remarkable cooking talent and we can't wait to introduce another group - and the next generation of exceptional judges - in season 12 of MasterChef Australia next year.

"We would like to thank Gary, George and Matt for their contribution over the past 11 years."

The new judges for the show have been announced as Andy Allen, Melissa Leong and Jock Zonfrillo.

There's no release date for MasterChef Back to Win, so we will all just have to patiently wait until an official word is given.
