Viewers Spot 'Mistake' In John Lewis Christmas Advert

Christmas is cancelled

Eagle-eyed viewers have spotted a 'mistake' in the new John Lewis Christmas advert. See if you can spot it here:

Every year the release of the ad represents a festive landmark, and from this point onwards we can expect Christmas content to be unrelenting.

However, it seems the ad - which is ostensibly designed to make people feel all warm and fuzzy - hasn't stopped some from nitpicking.

The mistake in question occurs as a man hops off a bus - the 222 Tooting service.

As any bus-using south Londoner will tell you, there ain't a 222 Tooting service. Such people have been quick to point out the error on social media.

One viewer moaned: "The John Lewis Christmas ad is sending me, why the F*** IS THE BUS GOING TO TOOTING??"

Another said: "That John Lewis ad is cute providing you can get past the fact there is no 222 bus to Tooting. Which obviously I can't."

A third said: "I'm afraid I can't endorse this advert because I've ridden the 222 countless times and it goes nowhere near Tooting."

Weirdly, viewers seem less irked by the fact the bus itself appears to be some kind of shoebox snowplough. Or the fact the ad features hip hop pigeons.

But yeah, how dare you meddle with the bus services Mr Lewis; you've RUINED CHRISTMAS.

Also, the 222 to Tooting - is that not obviously cutesy enough for ya?

You know, neighbours helping each other out, pigeons and hedgehogs being friends, the 'give a little love' message - is that enough to overlook taking some liberties with London bus routes?
