Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? is known for its tough brainteasers. But fans of the show were absolutely stumped when one contestant was faced with the 'worst question ever'.

Glen Bunn, from Durham, returned to the hot seat this week, having won £32,000 on his first appearance on the show recently.

And when he joined Jeremy Clarkson for his £64,000 question, the teacher was faced with a brainteaser that left many at home feeling sorry for him.

The question was: "From the 2000 awards ceremony onwards, the Best Actress Oscar has never been won by a woman whose surname begins with which one of these letters?"

The options were a) G, b) K, c) M and d) W, and not knowing what the correct answer was, Glen used his second phone a friend to get some help from his wife's best mate Molly.

Sadly, though, she was unable to help him out.

With little option left, Glen took a punt at 'G' which, it turned out, was correct.

And people at home quickly took to social media to share their disbelief at how difficult the question was.

"Now that's tough for £64k," said one.

While another blasted the show, writing: "Worst question I have ever heard on a TV quiz show. So glad he guessed the correct answer."

Glen didn't let it get to him, though, carrying on and eventually making it to a whopping £125,000.

As he left the studio, Jeremy said: "Well done you!"

Adding: "There's lady luck riding out the room!"

And it's safe to say that Glen had a much better time of it than poor Brenton Andreasik, who got booted off the show after he messed up the first question.

"I remember watching Millionaire as a little kid with Regis [Philbin] hosting the show, and it was such a phenomenon," he said.

"Ten million people watching a show about smart people every night, celebrating being smart.

"I thought, 'You know what, maybe it's not so bad being smart, maybe it's not bad being a nerd, maybe it's cool to be smart,' and I followed that along the way and I just graduated from medical school."

Well...

The first question up for $500 was: "Snapping selfies in kitchens you can't afford and taking 'a meatball break' are two things that Buzzfeed says every twenty-something does on their first trip to where?"

The four possible answers were a) to Paris, b) to London, c) to Rome, and d) to Ikea.

Now, most people would probably know the answer to this one, but sadly, Brenton wasn't like most people.

He said: "I think they do serve meatballs in Ikea. I don't think that's the right answer though.

"So, kitchens you can't afford, meatballs, sounds like it's got to be Rome to me.

"In fact, if I won a million dollars I would love to take a trip to Italy, I'm going to say Rome - final answer."

Oh. Dear.
