Driver Crashes Brand New Sports Car, Tries To Laugh It Off
Eyewitnesses were surprised when a driver not only crashed his brand new sports car into a wall mere hours after buying it - but also then tried to laugh it all off, despite causing a great deal of damage.
CCTV footage shows the moment the Honda S2000 convertible smashed into the garden wall of a home on a quiet residential street in Humberston, North East Lincolnshire.
As Grimsby Live reports, we can see the car is already out of control as it comes into frame - apparently having been driven at a speed of 150mph.
It hits the wall of a driveway side-on, before colliding with a lamppost, in turn causing significant damage to the car.
The property itself didn't come out of the incident unscathed either, with bricks scattered across the driveway. The wall was reduced to a pile of rubble, half of the car's license plate strewn across the debris.
According to eyewitnesses, children had been cycling by the scene of the crash just minutes before.
The 33-year-old male driver was seen driving up and down the road in the moments leading up to the incident, with the house's owners claiming the car had only just been bought by the driver that afternoon.

One of the owners said: "We heard a bloody great bang and ran out to see what had happened.
"The bricks had flown out like bullets and one had hit the house.
"When he got out of the car, he told us he'd bought it earlier that day. Maybe it was a bit too powerful.
"He was laughing, saying that no one was hurt but my wife told him off.
"When we watched the CCTV back, we saw he had driven past 30 seconds before he came back down, and a neighbour had seen him go past two or three times. You can see on the video the speed he was doing.
"There had been kids on bikes on the pavements just a few minutes before."
The resident said he had felt concerned about safety on the street because of drivers before.
He said: "Something needs to be done about speeding down here, there are always people flying up and down but there's a school around the corner and there are always kids walking up and down."
Humberside Police have been approached for comment.
