Lottery winner Jane Park has hit back at trolls who targeted her social media accounts to send her death threats and abuse on her birthday.

The former teen millionaire turned 24 over the weekend, but it wasn't as happy an affair as she was hoping as people began leaving vicious comments on a photo of her.

In the snap, posted to her Instagram and Twitter pages, Jane was posing in a silver dress and heels, with the caption: "24."

But while fans praised her, saying she looked 'gorgeous', others were not so kind, with some leaving death threats, telling her to go and 'die b****' and calling her a 'fat junkie tramp'.

The EuroMillions winner was critcised as she celebrated her 24th birthday.

One bully even said that Jane, who hails from Edinburgh, deserved to be 'stoned', while a football fan piled in, branding her a 'Hibs junkie b******' - referencing the Scottish team Hibernian.

But Jane isn't letting the trolls win and has hit back, saying she doesn't understand why people would say such awful things.

She wrote: "I'm all for a bit banter but it's f***ing too far. Have a day off man seriously. Honestly don't understand some people or how people's brains work man. Please just leave me alone."

Sharing a private message sent by one fan, she wrote in her Instagram Stories: "Unfollow me if you don't like me, it's as simple as that."

Jane, who suffered a miscarriage earlier this year, also posted on Twitter about the abuse, saying: "Some of the messages I've received are absolutely lovely. Well aware some folk don't like me and that's fine I'm all for a bit banter but don't come personally at my weight when my body has been through the wars recently. Birthday might've been ruined but today is a new day."

Jane's fans have since come to her defence, telling her how fantastic she looks and slamming critics for leaving such incredible levels of abuse.

One person said: "Block it all doll, keep your head up."

A second commented: "Some people need to get priorities sorted. Grim."

While another added: "Not sure why people can't just wish you Happy Birthday and chill out lol. Don't take any notice of the haters Jane - just live your life and leave them to theirs."
