A self-confessed 'lonely' multi-millionaire is on the lookout for love, having said he would like to marry and start a family after years of being committed to building his career.

Andy Scott, 41, has previously been 'married to succeeding', but now he's looking to share his life with a down-to-earth and 'beautiful' new mate.

According to the Daily Mail, he's worth a whopping £25 million ($32.5m), as the founder, owner and chairman of London-based investment company REL Capital.

Speaking to the newspaper, Andy - from Portsmouth - said: "I do want a family and you don't want to leave it too late. It's hard to find someone who ticks all the boxes."

But Andy isn't just looking to settle down with anyone. He believes it's important for a relationship to be equal, so is keen to find a woman who is successful and wealthy in her own right.

He continued: "Finding an equal in a partner becomes tougher as you start to do well.

"Your pool of suitable candidates rapidly diminishes and finding that person with financial independence to be able to go sailing at short notice, or spend the summer in the South of France is tough."

Andy, who has previously dated Atomic Kitten singer Liz McClarnon, added: "I don't want to support someone financially early on in a relationship to stop working, which obviously changes the fundamental dynamics and equality of any partnership - and not for the better."

Andy made his first million by the age of 26, but sadly lost it all when he was 30 due to the financial crisis.

Over the past decade he's been busy building his business back up, and now has everything from a Rolls Royce, a yacht and powerboat to luxury homes in London and the South of France - oh, and his own private plane to get him there.

But after starting hypnotherapy sessions, he soon realised 'no one cares about who the richest man in the graveyard is'.

He explained: "I've been going to hypnotherapy and realised I'm getting old [...]

"The hypnotherapist said, 'If you put as much effort into finding a partner as you do at work, you'd probably meet someone'."

Now Andy believes what his life is missing is someone to share it with.

He concluded: "Being an entrepreneur is a very lonely existence and ultimately, if you don't have someone to share in your highs and lows, you rather question what you are striving for and why you are doing it.

"So, the drive inside us that makes us strive for success can ultimately make us unhappy if we are unable to find contentment in all areas of life."
