McDonald's has announced the list of restaurants it plans to reopen on 13 May.

In a post on Twitter, the fast-food chain wrote: "We are pleased to confirm the 15 restaurants we will open for McDelivery only from the 13th May."

The full list is:

  • Chelmsford Riverside
  • Chelmsford Westwat
  • Ipswich Cardinal Park
  • Boreham Interchange
  • Luton Leagrave
  • Watford Hertfordshire Arms
  • Chaul End Lane, Luton
  • Beechings Way, Gillingham
  • Sittingbourne Retail Park
  • Gillingham Bowaters
  • Tooting
  • Dalston
  • Welling
  • Harrow
  • Luton George Street

The fast-food chain told LADbible that the selected stores were chosen based on their distance to the firm's distribution centre.

McDonald's Spokesperson said: "These 15 restaurants were chosen for their proximity to our distribution centre as we slowly but safely seek to reopen our restaurants and restart our supply chain.

"Rest assured we are working hard to reopen more restaurants across the UK and Ireland at the right time."

McDonald's also had some good news for veggies, following the tweet with a second post that read: "Following our operational test, we have reviewed our limited menu and will add the Vegetable Deluxe to the menu and Veggie Dippers to both our main menu and Happy Meal."

McDonald's confirmed last week that it would be reopening a select number of restaurants for deliveries only with a limited menu.

Announcing the decision, Paul Pomroy, McDonald's CEO for the UK and Ireland, said: "The last few weeks have been difficult for all of us and I hope you, your friends and your families are staying safe. We are very grateful to those of you who have taken a moment to share messages and stay in touch.

"When we return it will be different as we all adjust to this new normal. I want to apologise in advance if our first wave of reopened restaurants does not serve your area.

"Rest assured, we are working hard to reopen more restaurants, but I am adamant this must be at the right pace with the well-being of our employees, suppliers and customers front of mind. Thank you for your patience.

"Slowly, but safely we will return to towns and cities across the UK and Ireland and thank you for your continued support as we work through this crisis. We will continue to keep you updated via email, our website and our social media channels.

"In the meantime, stay safe and we will see you soon."
