An MP has fallen victim to a 'stabbing and shooting' incident in West Yorkshire.
Jo Cox, the Labour MP for Batley & Spen, was apparently holding a surgery at Birstall Library for her constituents when the attack took place.
Reports are coming in slowly, but it looks like she has been shot and stabbed.

She was quickly taken to Leed General Infirmary by air ambulance. Armed police are reportedly stationed outside the hospital.
Eyewitness Hithem Ben Abdallah spoke to the BBC about what happened. He was in a café next door to the library shortly after 1pm when he heard screaming and went outside.
He said: "There was a guy who was being very brave and another guy with a white baseball cap who he was trying to control and the man in the baseball cap suddenly pulled a gun from his bag."
He said that there was a scuffle, and the MP became involved at that point. It looks as though she attempted to intervene.
