A mum was horrified to find her daughter had managed to cut off her own fringe - right before she was due to have her school photo taken, of course.
I mean, we've all had some dodgy haircuts in our time (admittedly, some of which were a result of us hacking away at our locks with a pair of old scissors ourselves), but Gemma Martins, 28, wasn't quite expecting to look down and see what had happened to her daughter Megan Wharry.
Megan, who was five at the time, didn't have a wonky fringe, nor one that was slightly too short. Nope, Megan had no fringe whatsoever, as she'd accidentally chopped it all off.
Megan, now nine, was blissfully unaware that her attempts to give her fringe a quick trim would leave her resembling a character from the well-known nineties film - specifically, Lloyd Christmas from the Dumb and Dumber franchise.

But she's now haunted by her mishap, years later, after mum Gemma purchased her school photo just days after the accidental haircut.
Gemma, 28, had only left Megan alone for a few minutes when she treated herself to the new fringeless do.
Gemma, from Larne, Northern Ireland, purchased the photo in a bid to embarrass her further down the line, and has now decided to share the pictures with the internet for the first time.
She said: "I'd just got her hair cut into a nice bob with a fringe, all ready for her only second ever school photo.

"I left her watching TV, whilst I headed for a quick shower.
"But unbeknown to me, there were a pair of scissors on the draining board, and Megan wasn't as big of a fan of the fringe as it was.
"I didn't say anything when I saw her. I couldn't - all I saw was the hair around her and I knew there was no way I could fix it.
"We had a fancy family meal and everyone just found it hilarious - we had to just let it grow out but I was cringing inside."

While Megan's mum was mortified at first, she decided to purchase the incriminating school photo as the perfect revenge.
Care assistant Gemma said: "I'm redecorating at the moment and I know which photo is going to be pride of place.
"I've got all of her school photos over the years, and they'll all be hung on the wall, ready for all visitors to see.
"It's most certainly one that will make an appearance at her 18th birthday."
Megan said: "I'm so shocked and embarrassed that I did it, it was naughty and I still can't believe it - the photo is awful."

Don't worry Megan - we all look bad enough in those school photos without the excuse of a dodgy haircut. Plus hair grows back, as many of us know from learning the hard way in the past...
