The moment where a popular BBC comedian lost it at American police has gone viral for all the wrong reasons.

British comedian Rachel Jackson was caught on camera verbally abusing US police officers in Nashville, as she went on a nonsensical rant that left authorities confused and assuming that she was on drugs.

The Scot is best known for her time on the BBC, gaining acting credits in the likes of Still Game, Outlander, and her own creation Bunny Boiler, as well as winning awards for her comedic performances.

But now, body cam footage of the 37-year-old losing it at the authorities at Nashville Airport has done the rounds on YouTube, where her foul-mouthed rant was caught in real-time.

In the video, she can be seen berating and swearing at officers before resisting arrest, as she is taken away.

It is reported by The Sun that the argument stemmed from her being unable to show them a valid pass to the Delta Airlines lounge.

She wanted to enter the smoking lounge reportedly so she could use her electronic cigarette, but after airport staff tried to move her, she tried to ignore then, before airport police were called in to intervene.

When they attempted to escort her away, the staff that she was 'high', as she asked police to leave her alone.

After trying to start a conversation with the Brit, the officers were berated and told to 'get your hands off me', while they warned her that her behaviour would prevent her from flying.

But this only seemed to make things worse, as she yelled: "I will only go on the captain's orders, because I've seen Titanic.

"I am Titanic, I am White Lotus... get your f***ing hands off me," Jackson bizarrely shouted.

After trying to get rid of them, the comic drinks from a nearby water fountain, only to be put in handcuffs while screaming for help.

Later on, she can be seen in the back of a police car in cuffs.

Although the clip was only posted this week, it is believed that the incident took place on 15 August 2023, when the Scot was trying to return to London.

It has gone viral, with over a million views since being posted.

Jackson moved to the US in 2023 following her career success, according to a report from Mailonline.

LADbible has reached out to the BBC and Rachel Jackson's representatives for comment.
