British couple detained in Iran while on round-the-world motorbike trip in 'distressing situation', family says

Britons Craig and Lindsay Foreman have been detained in Iran

The family of a British couple who are in custody in Iran said the situation is causing 'significant concern'.

The BBC reports that Craig and Lindsay Foreman were detained last month, and that Iran’s state-run media has accused them of security-related offences.

The pair were said to be have been detained while they were traveling around the world on their motorbikes.

“We would like to take this opportunity to address the distressing situation concerning Craig and Lindsay Foreman who are currently being detained in Kerman, Iran,” the family said in a statement issued by the Foreign Office.

“This unexpected turn of events has caused significant concern for our entire family, and we are deeply focused on ensuring their safety and well-being during this trying time.

“We are actively engaging with the British government and relevant authorities, working diligently to navigate the complexities of this matter.

“The family are united in our determination to secure their safe return.”

Lindsay Foreman happens to be a life coach with a doctorate in psychology, while Craig works as a carpenter.
