Thomasina and Patrick Tobin may have died from physical exhaustion, according to a new theory about the couple's hot tub deaths.
Last month, the London-based couple were pronounced dead after being found unresponsive in a hot tub at a rental property on the Valencian coast in Spain.
Authorities have since ruled out foul play, with autopsies revealing the Irish-born Thomasina, 51, and New Zealander Patrick, 48, had both died from cardiac arrest.
The exact circumstances which led to Patrick and Thomasina's deaths are still unclear, but a report from The Irish Mirror has suggested the couple may have been suffering from physical exhaustion-induced cardiac arrests and struggled to exit the hot tub.

Meanwhile, another theory put forward questioned whether or not either Patrick or Thomasina had been electrocuted when trying to rescue the other from cardiac distress.

“Preliminary analyses indicate that the victims suffered cardiac arrest brought on by acute stress following physical exhaustion and the desperation of the moment,” local newspaper Las Provincias previously reported.
The Irish Mirror has also published the first images of Patrick since the news of his and Thomasina's deaths, with the outlet confirming that he worked as an associate general manager at HCLTech.
"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mr Tobin and his wife. Our thoughts are with their family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. Out of respect to the family's privacy, we are not in a position to comment or share any details at this point of time," a representative for the company told the outlet.
Meanwhile, Thomasina's LinkedIn page says she had worked as a chartered surveyor. The couple are understood to have resided in the Greenwich area of London with their teenage children.
A statement given to The Sunday Times from Turner & Townsend Alinea added: "We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of Thomasina Tobin and her husband. Thomasina was a valued member of our team, and our thoughts are with her family at this incredibly difficult time. We are liaising with her family to provide support."

Couple died in a 'freak accident'
Spain's Guardia Civil team are currently investigating the theory that Patrick and Thomasina's deaths were caused by a freak accident, with the outlet adding that industrial jacuzzi experts had been assisting with the case.
The hot tub's hydro massage system has also been analysed, following theories that the couple may have been suctioned into the jacuzzi and unable to free themselves.
Patrick and Thomasina's bodies were reportedly discovered by their teenage children inside the hot tub the day after their deaths. The siblings, aged 14 and 16, alerted neighbours to their parents' situation, who then called local police.
