A pocket bully dog belonging to Freddy Brazier is at risk of being put down after it attacked him and put him in the hospital.

The dog had been staying with his grandma Jackiey Budden and she'd called 999 to say that the animal, named Pablo, had attacked her.

Brazier rushed over to pick up the dog out of concern it would be taken away by the police, but a couple of minutes after leaving her London flat he'd been bitten.

“I’ve taken him out of the house. I’ve calmed him down. I’m going: ‘Sorry boy I know it’s been so long. I love you. I’ve missed you,’" Brazier described to The Sun.

“I’m scratching his back, but then he hooked on to my arm. The dog was hanging off me. I couldn’t feel anything in my right arm. But then I saw blood coming out of my tracksuit.

“I opened it to see a 3cm hole in my arm. It was terrifying.”

Brazier, 21, says that Pablo was 'just a completely different dog' in that moment and he'd never before been scared of the pocket bully but in that moment he was.

He said: “He had his harness and lead on, so I was able to tie him to a fence while he calmed down and I could call an ambulance and try to figure out what the f**k to do with myself.”

When the police arrived they did take the dog away, the situation Brazier had been trying to avoid, while he went to hospital to get treated for the hole in his arm the dog had bitten through his jacket.

Brazier said that doctors told him his injuries could have been much worse, though because of where the bite is he can't bend his arm or move it around much at the moment.

“I had a local anaesthetic and I could still feel everything. It was extremely painful," he said.

“Thankfully, it wasn’t close to an artery or anything like that. However, they did say it was quite close to a muscle and that if it could have been any more to this side or to that side I might not have been able to move that part of my arm.”

As for Pablo the dog, police have told him he has only a few days to find a suitable place for the animal to live or they'll put him down.

Brazier lives in Essex with his dad, who won't have the dog in his house, and his grandma doesn't want Pablo living in her flat any longer.

The deadline for finding a new home for the dog is Tuesday (28 July), and the 21-year-old said the canine was 'like my son', though he accepted that 'I'm probably not going to see my dog again'.

The pocket bully is a smaller and legal version of the XL bully dogs that have become banned in the UK.
