Gatwick Airport left without running water leaving passengers unable to flush toilets
Passengers travelling through Gatwick Airport are in the unenviable position of having no running water, which means that taps, toilets and water fountains aren't working.
Consider how unpleasant airport toilets can get normally, and now imagine how horrific it would be if nobody could flush their turds, that's the reality passengers are facing at the airport.
Air travel can be stressful enough at the best of times, passengers don't need the pungent pong of unflushable poo bothering them.
Gatwick has said it's passing out bottled water to passengers who need it and they're deploying more staff to try and make up for the lack of running water.

Without running water it means that not only can't people flush the toilets, they also can't wash their hands or fill up their own containers of water for personal use.
Gatwick Airport said in a statement: "A water issue in the Horley area is causing disruption at the airport this morning. The problem is affecting water supply in both terminals and is currently under investigation.
"Bottled water is being made available to passengers and staff across the airport and other contingency measures are being put in place to ensure the welfare of our passengers.
"We will provide further updates and apologise for any inconvenience to passengers."
However, some passengers are complaining on social media that they can't find anyone handing out this water, saying that airport staff have been telling them there is running water at certain parts of the airport and saying it took a long time for Gatwick to make the announcement so passengers were all on the same page about what was going on.
According to Sussex World, SES Water has said that people living in TN8, TN11 and parts of RH1 have either lost their water supply or are having low water pressure issues.
The water company says this has been caused by an issue at Bough Beech Water Treatment Works, and that bottled water is being delivered to the most vulnerable households.
The paper reports that other postcodes are also flagging up issues with their water supply, including RH6 which covers Horley and Gatwick Airport.
Lo and behold Gatwick Airport is indeed beset by water supply issues, the water company said they were working on fixing the problem but with no way of washing hands or flushing toilets for airport passengers it's likely to be a fairly unpleasant travel experience.
For the first time in forever people might actually be holding it in until they can make it onto the plane.
