Man shares insane amount value of his £8 million car collection dropped in one year
A YouTuber has revealed the staggering amount that his collection of cars has dropped in value since 2024.
Mark McCann is a racing driver and YouTuber who collects rare and expensive cars, and then posts about it on YouTube to his 1.09 million subscribers on the social media platform.
In a video on his YouTube channel, he shared the categories in his collection, including 'field cars', 'project cars', 'military cars', 'skid cars', 'hot hatches', 'classic cars', 'rally cars', 'ken block', and 'supercars'.
In other words, it's a big collection, and has previously been valued at a whopping £8 million.

But unfortunately, like any investment the value of cars can go both up and down, and McCann explained that since his collection was valued in 2024 the market has not been great for the value of collectors' cars.
This has resulted in his collection losing a substantial amount of value over that period, around £500,000 in fact, according to a valuation.
"I'm really grateful to have such an amazing car collection, and of course the values over the years have gone up and down," he said in a video on his channel.
"Now last few years the value has definitely gone up, but in 2024 in the last 365 days since we did this car collection last year the value of the whole collection has dropped £500,00, which is devastating but that's the price you for such an amazing collection in such bad times."
Mark's collection has a huge variety, including a scrapped BMW which is embedded bonnet-first in the ground as an ornament.
On one occasion, McCann had even bought nine Mini Coopers, saving them from scrap for 18 friends who were invited to his stag party, with the group racing the cars around his substantial garden, large enough to accommodate a race track.
There are also rally cars, as well as production cars which have been souped up to improve their performance, and just regular road cars that a regular person might drive around town.
Then of course it gets into the very fancy cars, including highly-engineered supercars that can reach mind-boggling speeds, not to mention having some unusual ways of opening the door to get in and out in some cases.
Mark even has a Fiat Cinquecento, that's Italian for 'five-hundred', which he bought because it happens to be the exact same model that's driven by Simon in The Inbetweeners, though he revealed he hasn't got round to giving it the iconic yellow-with-a-red-door paint job yet.
But there was one car which was a cut above the rest in terms of its value, both financially and in terms of the history of motor racing, the Ken Block RX43, driven by the legendary racer Ken Block, who died in 2023.
"If you are into racing and motor racing and you like your YouTube, and you're into your cars, this is an absolute piece of history," said Mark.
"I bought this car unfortunately before the legend Ken Block passed away, I bought it about six months before his accident.
"This car is very very special. This car has done everything, and all by the legend Ken Block."
He then listed the Ken Block RX43's incredible stats, including going 0-60 in 1.8 seconds.
But how much was it worth?
Mark revealed that he had paid £350,000 for the car before Block's death in 2023, but due to the tragic circumstances has since had offers to sell it for a whopping £3 million.
