
The Metropolitan Police are appealing after a man died at the Oasis concert in London's Wembley Stadium.
The force said that it responded to reports at around 10:19 pm last night (2 August) that a man had been injured. The police say he was in his 40s and was found with 'injuries consistent with a fall' as he was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers on duty and venue medics attended.
In a statement to LADbible, Oasis said: "We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night.
"Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved."
The Met have made a call for witnesses to come forward as the force added in a statement: "The stadium was busy, and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage."

Tonight's concert is set to go ahead as planned in London. Shocked concertgoers had taken to social media, with one posting to Facebook to say: "Did anyone else see the guy drop from the upper tier last night...
"Was pretty messed up, I hope he's okay."
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "At around 22:19hrs on Saturday, 2 August, officers on duty at Wembley Stadium for the Oasis concert responded alongside venue medics and the London Ambulance Service to reports that a person had been injured.
"A man - aged in his 40s – was found with injuries consistent with a fall. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene."

The statement added: "If you have any information that could help us to confirm what happened, please call 101, quoting 7985/02AUG."
A Wembley Stadium spokesperson said: "Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concert goer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall.
"Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers.
"The Police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
"Tonight’s Oasis concert will go ahead as planned."
The tragic incident took place on the third of seven planned shows at Wembley Stadium for the band as part of their reunion world tour which started in Cardiff in July.
