Teacher sacked for being on OnlyFans who left Susanna Reid speechless given new two-year ban

OnlyFans star Jessica Jackrabbit, a.k.a teacher Kirsty Buchan, has been banned from the classroom for two years.

Physics teacher Buchan, 34, had already quit her job back in 2022, from Bannerman High School in Glasgow after her OnlyFans alter ego was uncovered.

Numerous parents had complained to the school once they discovered what she was posting online.

Explicit photos of the teacher were accompanied by phrases such as 'good teacher gone bad' with a 'sexy tight body'.

Buchan claims she only turned to OnlyFans for money, with her banking £60,000 in just one month after she started sharing adult photos.

She told the BBC: "I didn't want to leave my job, but I also had to make more money. I even had other jobs before going down the OnlyFans road – I worked in Tesco, I worked as an elf at a Braehead Christmas event. I was always a hard worker.

Following the revelation of her explicit side-hustle, she was referred to the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS), and she has now been banned for two years.

They held a hearing from June 9-12, where it was ruled that her actions brought 'the profession into disrepute' and as a disciplinary measure she has been banned from reapplying for work for a period of two years.

The panel noted she did not take 'steps to prevent herself being identifiable' and made references to her role as a teacher in her bio.

The mother-of-one previously confessed she 'knew the risks' of posting the photos, but insisted she only joined the site because her 'son and bills come first'.

The GTCS said in a written ruling: “The panel acknowledged the teacher is entitled to a private life and her freedom of expression.

“She is free to pursue these interests, and the panel acknowledged that a finding of unfitness to teach may be viewed as interference.

“The panel has found as a matter of fact that the teacher has been advertising the sale of sexual images, making clear that she was working as a teacher while doing so.

“The fitness-to-teach standards promote interests which are in competition with the teacher’s interests to pursue her OnlyFans activities.

“In the panel’s view, the interests promoted by the teaching standards, such as maintaining standards of behaviour, upholding public confidence in the profession, outweigh the interests of the teacher in the circumstances.”

They continued: “In the panel’s view, the allegations as found proved against the teacher disclose conduct which is fundamentally incompatible with being a registered teacher.

“A reasonable and well-informed member of the public would not expect a teacher to be undertaking the conduct disclosed in the allegations.

“In the panel’s view the teacher’s conduct has fallen significantly short of the standards expected of a registered teacher. She is therefore unfit to teach.”

According to The Times, a spokeswoman for Glasgow city said: “This teacher is no longer an employee of Glasgow city council.

“The teacher was under investigation prior to resigning following the widespread distribution of wholly inappropriate and pornographic images.

“The council has a code of conduct that all employees should adhere to and a teacher who has actively pursued a second income on this type of website brings their school, the council and their profession into disrepute.

“We referred the details of our investigation to the General Teaching Council [for Scotland].”

She previously shocked Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain when she confessed: “We all need to take responsibility. Of course I knew the risks, I’m a mum at the end of the day — my son comes first, my bills come first.

“I spoke to my son before doing it. He’s 14 now, going on 30, so I knew there was a risk involved.

“I used a different name. I’ve got my moniker Jessica Jackrabbit. I put a wig on and loads of make-up that didn’t look like me.

“I didn’t think I would be caught, I didn’t think I would be famous.”

She also told the hosts that she has warned others of the risks: "What I've taught is, your pictures can go out there.

"I'm not saying do this, I worked really hard to be a teacher. I went to university, two jobs while being a single mother... I had to do this for extra money.

“My images were illegally downloaded and shared with pupils in the school that I worked in, the career that I worked my whole life to get. So I had no choice but to leave.”
