A Vladimir Putin supporter has threatened the Europe and the US with 'destruction' in a rant on state TV this week.

Pro-Kremlin propagandist Vladimir Solovyov, who has interviewed the Russian president in the past, has been described as his TV 'puppet' in the Western media.

During a 20 July broadcast of Sunday Evening With Vladimir Solovyov, the host was joined by military expert Evgeny Buzhinsky, who insisted that Europe was ready for war, as Solovyov discussed Russia's possible strategy in the event of WW3.

It comes after a UK government source told The Times that Britain is now Russia's 'number one' target for cyber attacks and espionage.

Now, in a clip shared on YouTube, which was translated by Russian Media Monitor, Buzhinsky said: "Europe is getting ready for war, just like the last century."

"We should strike right now," Solovyov replied.

"No need to wait until they get ready, we should destroy them right away."

He then added: "If Americans strike the Kaliningrad region, what options are there? Two Poseidon [nuclear armed torpedoes] and there will be a Strait named after Comrade Stalin."

Buzhinsky then suggested that Russia should signal its intentions to the US first, while Solovyov disagreed: "The time for signals is over. This is the time for strikes.

"They are not reading any of the signals. They did not take our Oreshnik strikes into account."

Issuing a nuclear war threat, he added: "They're pretending like nothing happened. They're convinced that we won't dare.

"They've made it up that supposedly India and China have told us, 'Don't use nuclear weapons, or else'. Or else what?"

The military expert agreed with the host and said Europe and the US are 'profoundly wrong and mistaken thinking that our leadership, our president, won't have the political will to respond with all the might at the disposal of the Russian Federation'.

Speaking at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum last year, Putin issued a similar nuclear warning to Europe and said: "If, God forbid, it comes to strikes, everyone should realise that Russia has an early warning system for missile attacks. The US has it. Europe does not.

"They are more or less defenceless in this sense."

He added: "If those with whom we exchange such strikes [cease to] exist, whether the Americans will get involved in this exchange at the level of strategic weapons I doubt very much.

"The Europeans should think about it. But I assume that it will never come to that.

"We don’t have that need. Our armed forces so vastly outnumber them in conventional weapons that there is no need. I would ask you not to mention such things in vain."
