Where the kids from Shameless UK are now 13 years on from show's finale
It's been 13 years since the hit TV series Shameless came to an end on our screens.
The TV show was critically acclaimed for its portrayal of life in Greater Manchester in the UK, with the first season winning a BAFTA for Best Drama Series in 2005.
Such was the success of Shameless that it even managed to get a reputation internationally, and even sparked a US version which took the action from Greater Manchester to Chicago, Illinois.
The ensemble cast featured a lot of household names, but it's perhaps David Threlfall's Frank Gallagher who is the first person, or character, that people think of when they think of Shameless.

But while there's no denying his performance was iconic, along with those of other big names such as Maxine Peake and James McAvoy, it also centres on the lives of the Gallagher family, including Frank's six children Fiona, Lip, Ian, Carl, Debbie, and Liam
So, let's take a look at where the actors who played them are today.
Anne-Marie Duff - Fiona Gallagher
Frank Gallagher's eldest daughter is played by Anne-Marie Duff, with the character having a big hiatus between the second and final seasons.
Part of her character's plot involved her running off with Jame McAvoy's character Steve McBride, and in a moment of reality reflecting fiction, the two actors married for real in 2006, having a child in 2010 and staying together for 10 years before divorcing in 2016.
Since Shameless, Duff has had TV roles including in the BBC adaptation of His Dark Materials, as well as the hit Netflix show Sex Education.
In film, she had a role in the 2017 book adaptation On Chesil Beach as well as the historical drama Suffragette.
In 2025 Duff was given an OBE for services to drama.
Jody Latham - Lip Gallagher
Jody Latham left in season five, though the character would return for the final season of the show.
After his role in Shameless, Latham had a big part in ITV's The Fixer, which ran for two seasons.
He has also had guest appearances in British soap operas such as Holby City, Hollyoaks, and Eastenders, as well as the historical drama The Tudors, with his final acting role being in 2017.
Since then, he set up a company selling dermal fillers and botox, and has worked in a family construction business.
Gerard Kearns - Ian Gallagher
Gerard Kearns plays Ian, who left in season seven after discovering that he was not really Frank's son at all and accidentally causing the death of Joe Pritchard, played by Ben Batt (spoiler alert, I suppose, it has been 13 years).
Since Shameless came to an end he has gone on to have TV roles including in The Last Kingdom, HBO's Chernobyl, and The Day of the Jackal. His most recent credit is prison drama Waiting for the Out, and his film credits since Shameless is 2016's Trespass Against Us.
In 2017 Kearns married his wife Sarah, and they have two sons together.
Elliott Tittensor - Carl Gallagher
Carl Gallagher features throughout the series, with Elliott Tittensor taking on the role.
Since leaving the show Elliott, who is the identical twin of Luke Tittensor, has had a role in several movies, including in Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk in 2017.
In television as well, his being one of a pair of twins came in handy when Elliot and his twin Luke were cast as Ser Erryck Cargyll and Ser Arryck Cargyll in Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon.
Their characters are two twin knights who end up on opposite sides of a war for the crown, and die fighting each other.
Rebecca Ryan - Debbie Gallagher
Debbie Gallagher left to join the army in season six, and Rebecca Ryan would play Vicki MacDonald on Waterloo Road.
Since then she has had roles in several big British soaps, including Doctors, as well as regular role on Casualty which she reprised in Holby City.
She had a role in Coronation Street from 2021 to 2022, and in 2026 she landed a role on Hollyoaks.
In September 2022, Ryan married her partner Dan Acraman, and the pair had their first child in May 2023, and then confirming she was expecting again in January 2025.
Johnny Bennett - Liam Gallagher
Bennett played the youngest Gallagher sibling, taking over from Joseph Furnace from season three onwards.
Since then, he doesn't have any more acting credits listed.
