Police in Wales were called to a huge brawl in the street, which all culminated in a woman getting knocked out by a tyre that was seemingly thrown by another person.

It isn’t clear what the reason for the huge fight was, but in a video that has since gone viral, at least two police officers can be seen attempting to control a large number of people fighting on a residential street in North Wales.

As the fight progresses, one member of the public even manages to get a police officer to the floor before they regain their feet.

Several police officers were involved in the fight.

The police officers, armed with metal batons, seemed to be getting things under control as the video draws to a close, but then – at the very end – a tyre is thrown from off-camera, catching an unsuspecting woman right in the face, causing her to fall to the floor, seemingly unconscious.

It’s definitely not a video for the faint of heart.

Police have confirmed that they were called to the incident in the Wern Las area of Rhosllanerchrugog yesterday afternoon (September 21) shortly before 5:00pm.

Today, the police released a statement addressing the video and the disturbance, confirming that they'd made a number of arrests at the scene, as well as confirming that a woman was taken to hospital after the incident.

The brawl involved a lot of people.

That statement reads: "Five people have been arrested following an incident in Rhosllanerchrugog yesterday (Thursday, September 21).

“Shortly before 5pm, officers were called to reports of public disorder in the Wern Las area.

"A woman was taken to hospital with injuries and a 25-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault, affray and threats to damage property.

“As a result of the incident, three officers were assaulted and injured, while a further two sustained injuries."

The statement continues: "Two men, aged 25 and 27, and two women aged 23 and 31 have also been arrested on suspicion of offences in relation to the incident, including affray, threats to kill and to damage property and assaulting emergency workers."

A woman was left seemingly unconscious.

"A young child within proximity of the disorder was caught by Captor spray, but did not sustain any injuries."

They concluded the statement by saying that an investigation was 'ongoing' and that 'and patrols will be increased in the area to offer reassurance to the local community.'

It is not known whether the woman who was taken to hospital was the person that was hit by the tyre.

The footage has since been circulating on X - formerly known as Twitter.

Rhosllanerchrugog is a small village in the area of Wrexham, North Wales.

It sits within the historic county of Denbighshire, and has a population of around 25,362.
