New bodycam footage shows police officers responding to woman mauled to death by alligator
New insights continue to pour in over Brittany Clark's devastating death after being mauled by an alligator, with new police bodycam footage showing the horrific moment they arrived at the scene.
Last weekend, the 31-year-old and her boyfriend Chance Allison, and roommate Jayden Hernandez, were swimming in the Econlockhatchee River of Florida's Little Big Econ State Forest.
Despite only being submerged in three feet of water at the time, the trio were preyed upon by one of the forest's resident reptiles.
After being attacked by an alligator, Brittany lost almost both of her arms, with one 'hanging on by a thread'.

She would later pass away from her wounds on the way to hospital.
Now, via News Channel 8, first responder bodycam footage paints the scene of utter shock as officers approach Brittany, surrounded by Chance and Jayden who were desperately trying to help her.
'It's bad', first responders are heard saying
Released yesterday (July 2), the police video clip featured Seminole County Sheriff's Office deputies heading towards the edge of the Econlockhatchee River.
"Where are we?" they asked, prompting someone to point them toward a tent.
"It's bad," declared another person.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission later confirmed that a 13-foot alligator was discovered at the scene of the incident, while a second slightly smaller animal was tracked down about half a mile down river.
In a statement, FFWCC spokesperson Chade Weber added of the tragic circumstances: "They were hiking and they just stopped to swim. She was bitten on both of her arms.
"The boyfriend was the one that made the phone call. He was trying to get her from the alligator's mouth, and on the way to the hospital she did pass away from her injuries."
Since the attack, it's also come to light that Jayden made a haunting joke just moments before the three swimmers were set upon.

Via Facebook, the traumatised roommate has recalled commenting on the 'murky' state of the water and what could be watching them from beneath the surface.
"There were air bubbles within our little triangle we made with our bodies in the water and I commented on how it might be a sneaky gator, and Chance, Brittany's boyfriend, swam right over it to show nothing was there and nothing was there," she noted.
"[Brittany] literally commented on how she thought he was gonna act like he got attacked and we just laughed. It was just a joke... and just a few minutes later my best friend got attacked."
Chance has also since posted an emotional statement on Facebook, as seen by PEOPLE, penning: "We had so many things planned out and memories to be made. You were such a special person and did not deserve to go out in such a way.
"I love you and don’t worry about shady and hokie I’ll take care of them forever."
