Brooke Hogan reveals final conversation she had with dad Hulk before his death

The 37-year-old singer became estranged from her father during his final years

Hulk Hogan's daughter has opened up about one of the final conversations they had before his death last month.

The legendary wrestler, whose real name is Terry Bollea, died at the age of 71 on 24 July after suffering a cardiac arrest in his Florida home.

Hogan, who famously inspired Hulkamania, was removed from the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015 after racist remarks regarding his daughter's boyfriend were found on tape.

However, he was reinstated in 2018, with the wrestling organisation releasing a statement following his passing.

"WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognisable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans," it said.

Brooke recently set the record straight when revealing why she didn't attend her father's funeral, while she also confirmed that she had asked to be written out of his will.

And now, in an interview with TMZ, the 37-year-old has explained why she seemingly distanced herself from Hulk in his later years and revealed some of the final words that he spoke to her.

She said: "The estrangement is a boundary. So I didn't like certain people he was around. It wasn't Sky, it was a number of people that I did not trust, that I had seen behaviour in, and I said, 'Dad, flashing yellow signs.' Like, 'Hey, this is messed up. Are you going to do anything about it?'

"He gave the sentiment of like, "Well, I guess you have to live your life and I have to live mine".

"That was kind of how it was left."

Meanwhile, Hulk's late wife, Sky Daily, paid tribute to her husband, suggesting that she expected him to recover fully from the health issues that had seemingly been troubling him in recent years.

She wrote: "This loss is sudden and impossible to process. To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart.

"Hulk loved his fans so much and despite his growing physical discomfort, he did everything he could to show up, sign autographs, take photos, and connect with the people who supported him through it all. You meant everything to him.

"He was a believer in Christ, and I take comfort knowing his soul is at peace and he’s been welcomed home.

"Please keep his family and all of us who loved him in your prayers as we try to navigate this new reality."
