Hulk Hogan's daughter has revealed why she was taken out of her late father's will as she opened up in her first interview following her father's death.

The WWE legend, 71, suffered a cardiac arrest at his home in Florida and was pronounced dead in hospital last month (24 July).

For the past two years, Brooke, now 37, stopped talking to her dad and didn't appear at his funeral.

Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, and his ex-wife Linda share two children - Brooke and Nick, now 35.

"My father hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn't want one," the reality star, who appeared on Hogan Knows Best from 2005 to 2007, explained on Instagram on Tuesday (5 August).

"And although I know people grieve in many ways - and I'm so grateful for all celebrations and events organised to honor him, as his daughter, I had to make my own decision to honor him the best way I knew how... privately... the way that made me feel the closest to him.

"The only thing missing today was him in his pop-up lawn chair watching the waves... and the sunset."

Well, TMZ previously reported that Brooke, who took her husband and former NHL star Steven Oleksy's last name, won't inherit any of his $25 million fortune.

A source told the outlet that she allegedly asked to be removed from his will in 2023 because 'she didn’t trust a single person around him, and didn’t want to get caught up in a financial battle when he passed'.

The singer seemingly confirmed the reports in a recent call-in on Bubba the Love Sponge’s podcast.

Brooke revealed that she became 'scared' of the fighting that would most likely happen after her father’s death, fearing confrontation with her mother, Linda Hogan, and her father’s third wife, Sky Daily.

Claiming that Linda formerly had links to The Church of Scientology, she added: "I thought if I get left any money or [my brother] Nick gets left any money then, no offense, my mom has been known to find herself in the mix with things like that.

"And I’m like, I don’t want to fight Linda, I don’t want to fight Scientology.

"It scared me. And I just said, I want out."

Meanwhile, TMZ reported that Brooke will still receive money from a small life insurance trust she is a co-beneficiary of, and plans to put it toward her kids' college funds.

In her tribute post, she said: "In the end, he continued to be a financial success for many.

"This was the last thing I wanted for him - he's been working and tearing his body apart his entire life."
